  • Publication number: 20240186118
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein include a housing for a source array. In an embodiment, the housing comprises a conductive body, where the conductive body comprises a first surface and a second surface opposite from the first surface. In an embodiment a plurality of openings are formed through the conductive body and a channel is disposed into the second surface of the conductive body. In an embodiment, a cover is over the channel, and the cover comprises first holes that pass through a thickness of the cover. In an embodiment, the housing further comprises a second hole through a thickness of the conductive body. In an embodiment, the second hole intersects with the channel.

  • Publication number: 20110000451
Abstract: A unitized valve train assembly includes a finger follower having a pocket and a peripheral surface adjacent the pocket, and a hydraulic lash adjuster having a body, and a plunger extending from the body and received within the pocket of the finger follower. The plunger defines a longitudinal axis. The assembly also includes a single-wire coupling device having a first arm configured to selectively engage the finger follower, and a second arm clamped to one of the body and the plunger. The second arm is spaced from the peripheral surface of the finger follower when the plunger is received within the pocket of the finger follower.

  • Publication number: 20090000583
Abstract: A rocker arm assembly including a rocker arm, a bearing support member, and a bearing assembly. The bearing assembly is supported on the support member and engages the rocker arm. The bearing assembly includes a race defining a raceway having a stop member coupled thereto, and a plurality of rolling elements positioned on the raceway such that the movement of the rolling elements on the raceway is limited by the stop member.

  • Patent number: 5983863
Abstract: A unitized fuel supply assembly is disclosed including an in-line reciprocating cam driven pump (14) for supplying fuel to an accumulator (12) from which fuel is directed to a plurality of engine cylinders by means of a distributor (16) mounted on the unitized assembly. Dual pump control valves (20) provide fail safe electronic control over the effective pump displacement. One or more injection control valves mounted on the distributor are provided to control injection timing and quantity. The accumulator (12) contains a labyrinth of interconnected chambers (36) which are shaped and positioned to produce a minimum overall package size while providing for easy manufacture.

  • Patent number: 4484867
Abstract: An improved fuel rack mounting arrangement, particularly for use in an in-line pump, is structured to reduce actuating forces. The fuel rack is supported by a pair of lever arms pivotally connected thereto at longitudinally spaced pivot axes. Each lever arm is also pivotally connected to the pump housing at separate pivot axes. The orientation and positioning of the various pivots are such as to afford longitudinal reciprocation of the rack in response to actuation of one of the levers about its pivot axis by which it is connected to the housing. The actuation may be provided by a stepper motor acting on an extension of the lever. Each lever may include an integral pivot pin and a locking mechanism for captured pivotal mounting of the rack.

  • Patent number: 3952711
Abstract: A fuel injector for a diesel engine for use with a common rail type universal fuel injection system includes an injection piston driven by the common rail pressure fluid to inject a metered quantity of fuel through an injection nozzle. The opening of the nozzle valve is controlled by a compression spring in a conventional manner. The nozzle closing is effected by the introduction of fuel at injection pressure above the nozzle valve which acts in combination with the spring to seat the valve. In the preferred embodiment, means are provided for connecting the nozzle spring chamber with the pumping chamber of the injection piston at or slightly before the end of delivery of injected fuel to the nozzle, thereby producing a sharp cutoff of fuel flow through the nozzle. The valve spring may accordingly be selected to provide an optimum opening force rather than to satisfy the nozzle closing requirements as heretofore necessary.
