  • Patent number: 7613810
Abstract: A method includes receiving a machine readable file containing a document that is to be served to a client for display on a client device, the organization of each of the documents in the file being expressed as a hierarchy of information, and deriving subdocuments from the hierarchy of the information, each of the subdocuments being expressed in a format that permits it to be served separately to the client using a hypertext transmission protocol, at least one of the subdocuments containing information that enables it to be linked to another one of the subdocuments.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2000
Date of Patent: November 3, 2009
    Assignee: Nokia Inc.
Inventors: Richard D. Romero, Adam L. Berger
  • Patent number: 7565605
Abstract: An electronic document is received that represents serial data that contains content of the document and defines an order in which respective portions of the content are to be performed. The serial data of the electronic document is analyzed. Reorganization information is generated for use in delivering the portions of the content, the reorganization information enabling performance in an order different from the order defined by the serial data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 2001
Date of Patent: July 21, 2009
    Assignee: Nokia, Inc.
Inventors: Gregory C. Schohn, Adam L. Berger, Richard D. Romero
  • Patent number: 7210100
Abstract: A method that includes altering portions of a text of an original version of a digital document to produce a revised version of the digital document in which the text is shorter than the text of the original document, receiving over a communication channel a request for the digital document from a device connected to the channel, and transmitting the revised version over the communication channel in response to the request.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2000
Date of Patent: April 24, 2007
    Assignee: Eizel Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Adam L. Berger, Richard D. Romero, Gregory C. Schohn, Clark W. Slater
  • Patent number: 6904818
Abstract: An internal inspection unit for pipe has ultrasonic transducers that inspect weld volume, weld root, and wall thickness. The ultrasonic transducers are mounted to a portion of the inspection unit that is rotatable, but no more than one full revolution. One of the units has independently movable shoes for each separate transducer. The shoes are moved between retracted and extended positions by pneumatic cylinders. The other unit has shoes that support more than one transducer, the shoes being biased outwardly by springs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 24, 2003
Date of Patent: June 14, 2005
    Assignee: Vetco Gray Inc.
Inventors: Larry K. Harthorn, Pedro A. Dioquino, Richard J. Milligan, Jr., Jason C. Good, Neil D. Allen, Richard D. Romero

  • Publication number: 20030093565
Abstract: A method and system for converting an attachment in an e-mail for delivery to a client device of limited rendering capability. The method includes downloading the e-mail and the attachment in response to a request from a client device for the e-mail, transforming the attachment into a plurality of sub-documents, each sub-document being expressed in a format that is compatible with the client device and being a size not greater than a maximum rendering size capability of the client device, wherein a first sub-document includes a link to a second sub-document, and serving the first sub-document to the client device.
