  • Publication number: 20030038052
Abstract: The present invention is a combination metal cage supporting a cargo to be shipped within the metal cage. The metal cage provides a pallet platform and integral thereto, plural walls extending upwardly from the pallet platform. These walls define an open top of the metal cage. One of the plural walls is hingably mounted as a door. The cargo is comprised of a plurality of individual cartons, each of which has a length to width ratio of at least 10, i.e., the length of the carton is at least ten times the magnitude of the width of the carton. Preferably, the cartons are identical and are positioned in a vertical attitude within the metal cage in an adjacent, side-by-side manner. Preferably, one end of each of the cartons rests on the pallet platform while the opposing end of each of the cartons extends above the open top of the metal cage. The cage employs a loading rod for packing the cargo as it is loaded and a tilt mechanism to position the cage for gravity assist in loading.

  • Publication number: 20030015851
Abstract: A portable toolbox has a top, bottom, front and rear panels forming a box structure with opposing sides tilted off-vertical so as to converge upwardly. A plurality of hinged drawers and fixed bins are arranged on each side of the toolbox. The rear panel terminates at a pair of supporting feet for resting the apparatus on a supporting surface. The top panel provides an upwardly facing work surface with a pair of hand holes separated by a hand grip for carrying the apparatus. A forward and a rearward sliding retractable work surface extender frames are positionable between a retracted position, secured within the box structure and an extended position directed outwardly from the box structure for resting a workpiece.

  • Publication number: 20030014931
Abstract: A plaster crown molding tile has an upright body portion providing a front decorative surface and, in opposition thereto, a rear wall-engaging surface. Integral with the body portion, a topper portion extends angularly upwardly. The wall-engaging surface provides spaced apart horizontally oriented planar strips and between the strips plural grooves spaced apart by ribs. Peaks of the ribs define a first selected depth relative to the horizontal strips, and valleys of the grooves define a second selected depth relative to the horizontal strips. These surface features enable the tile to be more easily shaved to a desired depth for custom fitting the tile for improved butt seams.

  • Patent number: 6228507
Abstract: A prefabricated crown molding strip designed to facilitate one-person installation and composed of plaster that is reinforced by two layers of fiber reinforcement, one of bulk fiberglass intermixed throughout the outer portion of the strip and the ornamentation thereon and a second of a sheet of fiberglass netting generally centrally located as a spine in the strip and substantially coextensive therewith. Two side surfaces of the strip are disposed generally in perpendicular planes for engagement with a wall and a ceiling, and have patterns of longitudinally extending ribs and grooves of predetermined depths for facilitating adhesive mounting of the strip, and also facilitating selective removal of plaster to accommodate irregularities on supporting surfaces. Pre-formed nail holes are molded in preselected nailing locations.
