  • Publication number: 20070024001
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for playing a game in which values of a game piece are gradually revealed. In one embodiment, a housing receives a game piece. The housing includes an opaque portion covering markings on the game piece. The opaque portion is movable for gradually revealing at least one marking on the game piece. The opaque portion can include a pair of movable doors. The doors are moved laterally toward one another to reveal markings on outer columns of the game piece. The doors are moved vertically for revealing markings on an inner column of the game piece.

  • Publication number: 20060261556
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of playing a game in which a value of a sequence of game pieces having a certain characteristic is determined. For example, the sequence of game pieces can be the number of game pieces having a certain characteristic such as odd or even, black or red. The value of the sequence of game pieces can be determined randomly such as by rolling a die or spinning a spinner. The game pieces are dealt to a player to the value of the sequence of game pieces. If each of the game pieces dealt to a player has the certain characteristic, the player wins. A payout can be paid according to the difficulty in obtaining the number of game pieces having the certain characteristic.

  • Patent number: 7097174
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of playing a game in which a guess is made of a number value of a remainder. A total point value is determined from game pieces given to a player. A number value of a remainder is determined by dividing the total point value by a predetermined divisor. The number value of the remainder is compared to the guessed number value of the remainder. If the number value of the remainder is the same as the guessed number value of the remainder, the player wins.

  • Publication number: 20060038344
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of playing a game in which a guess is made of a number value of a remainder. A total point value is determined from game pieces given to a player. A number value of a remainder is determined by dividing the total point value by a predetermined divisor. The number value of the remainder is compared to the guessed number value of the remainder. If the number value of the remainder is the same as the guessed number value of the remainder, the player wins. In one embodiment, a bonus one or more bets can be placed on guesses of a last remaining remainder value determined upon continuation of the game, guesses of a value or a range of values of the total point value used for obtaining the last remaining remainder value or guesses of a value of a number of subsequent game pieces given to a player before the last remaining remainder value is determined.

  • Patent number: 5599232
Abstract: A memory cartridge for use in a video game console includes an interface and a compact game catridge removably attachable to the interface. The compact game cartridge has a Read Only Memory in it storing at least one game program to be executed by the game console. The compact game cartridge may so include other components dedicated to the at least one game program necessary for the game console to execute the game program. The interface has electrical circuitry therein such as for example, a bank switching controller, graphics memory, a security circuit to satisfy a security system in the gaming console etc, which is not dedicated to any specific game program but which nonetheless, is necessary for the game console to execute a game program stored in a compact game cartridge.

  • Patent number: 5462173
Abstract: A magnetic separator made up of a drum bearing a plurality of stacked spaced rings each having a U-shaped cross section in the form of an arc outwardly facing channels. An upper set of magnets and a lower set of magnets supported on the separator frame and extending into the channels and matrix module are supported on the rings in spaces between the rings. A mixture of magnetic and non-magnetic material is fed onto the matrix modules and first upper nozzles spray water on the matrix modules as the matrix modules pass between the upper magnets thereby flushing non-magnetic material. The second upper nozzles spray water on the matrix modules as the modules move away from the upper magnets so that magnetic material is flushed from the matrix modules and falls into the non-magnetic hopper.

  • Patent number: 5112051
Abstract: An interfacing device for connecting the processing unit of a computer games system to an external data storage medium has a user-operable selection unit for generating a user-selected address and user-selected data. The user-operable selection unit may comprise user-operable switches or electronic latches that are set by a program in response to selections made by the user by means of a joystick, keypad or any other input device. An address comparison unit compares the user-selected address with the addresses from the processing unit, and a data switching device causes the user-selected data to be substituted for data in the storage medium whenever the compared addresses are the same. Instead of a user-operable selection unit, preselected addresses and preselected data may be stored in a ROM, which in one embodiment changes the way the computer interprets external memory and in another changes the computer's internal memory itself.
