  • Patent number: 6149037
Abstract: A lubricant transfer device such as a lubricant metering device is provided that includes a lubricant dispenser that can use a standard replaceable lubricant storage cartridge as a lubricant source. The dispenser includes an adapter that is configured for mounting on a lubricant metering pump or the like and that can selectively receive the standard storage cartridge. The adapter permits the coupling of the storage cartridge to the pump so as to prevent unintended axial movement of the storage cartridge with respect to the pump and so as to provide an air-tight seal between the storage cartridge and the adapter, thereby permitting lubricant to be drawn out of the storage cartridge under negative pressure generated by operation of the pump.

  • Patent number: 5881773
Abstract: Stacked valve bodies have adjacent sides pressed against one another and fluid bores extend through adjacent sides to place the bodies in fluid communication with one another. Resilient seals are around the bores and between adjacent sides so as to form fluid seals between adjacent sides. The bodies also each have opposite outer sides with partial grooves formed in the outer sides of the adjacent bodies. The partial grooves form a complete groove and central post in opposite sides of the adjacent bodies. A ring-like connecting member corresponds in shape to the complete groove and is adapted to be pressed in the complete groove and snugly around the post when the adjacent bodies are pressed together against the resiliency of the seals.

  • Patent number: 5876189
Abstract: A metering device for the precision feeding of a liquid, such as, for example, an oil lubricant. The device has a fluid supply chamber with a working medium such as oil and which in turn is in open communication with a metering chamber also containing the medium fluid. A fluid pumping piston passes through the supply chamber and then into the metering chamber. Upon entering the metering chamber, the pumping piston passes through an annular flexible seal of generally U-shaped cross section that has a pair of axially extending lips which act, respectively, along the piston and the metering chamber to thereby form a one-way valve therebetween. The piston forces the fluid out of the metering chamber and the volume displaced by the piston can be adjusted by adjusting the axial position of the metering chamber and thereby vary the extent to which the pumping piston enters the metering chamber.

  • Patent number: 4609074
Abstract: A multiple oiler assembly includes a plurality of valve members providing for the delivery of oil lubricant to corresponding lubrication points. Each valve member includes a first bore that extends laterally and opens to one side of the valve. The opposite side of the valve members is provided with a laterally projecting sleeve having a bore that opens to the remote end of the sleeve and extends coaxially with the first bore and communicates with the first bore to provide each valve member with a transversely extending oil lubricant through-passage. The outside diameter of the sleeve generally corresponds to the diameter of the first bore such that the sleeve of each valve member can be plugged into the first bore of the next preceding valve member to form a gang mounted valve member arrangement.
