  • Patent number: 6367292
Abstract: A protective device for locking two relatively movable objects of a cargo container in a fixed relationship comprises a housing having an open end and a flange extending about the periphery of the open end. The housing is mounted on one of said objects. A longitudinally movable bar is mounted on the interior of housing and extends therethrough for cooperatively engaging a sleeve mounted on the other of the objects for locking the objects together. A collar is also mounted within the housing for enclosing the bar. The collar has a padlock retainer formed between its ends for providing a recess which exposes a hole in the bar when the bar is in cooperative engagement with the sleeve. The recess forms an opening for receiving the shackle of a padlock while the hole is adapted to allow the shackle of the padlock to extend through the bar when the bar engages the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 5284324
Abstract: A derrick for raising and lowering a cargo container which comprises a tri-pod structure having a pulley within its apex for engaging and lifting and lowering the load. The tri-pod structure has a roller for engaging the load at the top or apex of the derrick with a hook for engaging the cargo container at its base. The hook includes a pair of shoes one for engaging the outside surface of the cargo container and a second one for engaging the inside surface of the cargo container at the area of hook contact with the cargo container.

  • Patent number: 5261258
Abstract: A security device designed for protecting the shackle of a disk shaped padlock when mounted on a door of a container which consists of a housing for an armor protected latch bar which housing defines a recess providing access to an aperture in the bar by a circular shackle of the padlock. The recess also encases most of its housing exposing only the key tumbler of the lock which if tampered with will not cause movement of its concealed circular shackle. The latch bar is at least partially covered with a high carbon steel at the point it extends into an associated keeper.

  • Patent number: 5069143
Abstract: A platform for supporting a movable storage building employing a pair of parallely and spacedly positioned rails between which are supported a plurality of laterally extending floor joists. The rails each provide a U-shaped channel for receiving the ends of the floor joists and a pair of spacedly positioned openings which expose channels juxtapositioned to and parallel with the floor joists for receiving the prongs of a forklift mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5029909
Abstract: A protective device for locking two relatively movable objects of a cargo container in a fixed relationship employing a longitudinal bar mechanism pivotally mounted on one of said objects for cooperatively engaging with a pair of keepers mounted on the other of said objects for locking the objects together and a first rod assembly pivotally connected to one end of the bar mechanism and a handle at its other end with the rod moving longitudinally into engagement with one of the keepers. A housing is mounted around the rod assembly through which the rod is movable and defines a recess which exposes a predetermined portion of the length of the rod assembly. An aperture is formed in the predetermined portion of the rod assembly through which a shackle or padlock may be placed to lock the protective device.

  • Patent number: 4467715
Abstract: A power operated press for moist, fibrous waste employing a pair of spaced grates which are moved relative to each other only when a waste collection chamber above the press discharges to a space between the grates a predetermined amount of waste. A ram is provided for moving the grates relative to each other to compress the waste and remove a predetermined amount of moisture therefrom in timed sequence with the movement of the waste into and out of the press.
