Abstract: Disclosed herein is a hydraulic tool working head guide. The hydraulic tool working head guide includes a main section having a general plate shape. The main section is adapted to be connected to an exterior surface of a hydraulic tool working head. The main section includes a slot having an open end at an edge of the main section and a closed end at a middle portion of the main section. The slot extends through a thickness of the main section. The closed end is adapted to be aligned with a receiving area of the hydraulic tool working head. The slot is adapted to substantially center a connector and/or a conductor in the receiving area.

Abstract: A hydraulic tool including a main section and a working head. The main section has a hydraulic drive system including a pump and a hydraulic fluid conduit system, and a first handle adapted to allow a user to grasp the main section with a first hand. The working head is connected to the main section and includes a frame, a ram movably connected to the frame, and a second handle extending from the frame. The ram is adapted to be moved on the frame by hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic drive system. The second handle is adapted to allow a user to grasp the working head with a second hand away from a compression area between the ram and an opposite anvil section of the frame.

Abstract: A hydraulic tool including a main unit and an arm support. The main unit includes a working head section connected to a hydraulic drive section, and a handle section adapted to allow a user to hold and operate the main unit with a single hand of an arm of the user. The arm support extends rearward from the main unit. The arm support is adapted to rest against the arm of the user proximate the user's upper forearm to partially support the hydraulic tool on the arm of the user.

Abstract: A hand-held hydraulic tool including a hydraulic drive system comprising a pump; and a user control system for at least partially controlling operation of the hydraulic tool. The user control system includes a first user control at a first location having a first pump activation control switch and a first hydraulic drive system drain control switch, and a second user control at a second location having a second pump activation control switch and a second hydraulic drive system drain control switch. The hydraulic tool is adapted to be controlled by a user at either of the first or the second locations.

Abstract: A split solder sleeve is provided with a conductor channel extending between open opposite ends of the sleeve and a longitudinal slot extending through the side wall of the sleeve into the channel and between the ends of the sleeve. The improvement includes a hole extending through the side wall of the sleeve into the conductor channel. The hole allows solder to be poured into the sleeve and around the conductors directly on the ends of the conductors. The hole allows greater visual inspection of the spliced solder joint both during and after pouring of the solder.
