Abstract: An improved telephone handset dispenser to store and dispense a telephone handset from the seat back of an airplane, including a housing for retaining the handset, a handset electrically attached to a cord which is dispensed from a cord reel contained within the housing, a protective bezel, and a self-resetting latching mechanism to retain the handset.

Abstract: An improved telephone handset dispenser stores and dispenses a telephone handset and dispenses the handset upon insertion of an implement such as a credit card. A rectangular front face of a generally box-shaped housing has a longitudinal trough defined therein for receiving the handset. Upon insertion of the implement into a slot defined in the front face of the housing, the handset is dispensed for use. The telephone is electrically attached to the housing by a cord. A rotatably cylindrical cord reel dispenses the cord through the longitudinal trough as the handset is removed, and also stores unused cord. Cord is directed between the cord reel and the longitudinal trough perpendicular to the circumference of the cord reel by a cord guide, thereby permitting the cord reel to be centered in the housing with respect to the longitudinal trough. The housing has two sides and two ends, tapered toward the front face to prevent objects from being placed and retained thereon.

Abstract: An upper body rotation assembly for a back test, rehabilitation and exercise machine designed for the isolated testing, rehabilitation and exercise of the lower back musculature of a person in rotation about a vertical axis is disclosed. The rotation assembly has a curved chest pad which bears against the chest of the person and a scapula pad which bears against the scapula of the person. The curve of the chest pad is designed to fit the greatest variety of upper body shapes and sizes, providing the greatest comfort and stabilization to the largest portion of the population possible. Two belts, one on each side of the rotation assembly, secure the chest pad to the scapula pad. The rotation assembly is attached to a frame of the machine such that when the person exerts a rotational force against the chest pad and the scapula pad the rotation assembly rotates relative to the frame of the machine.

Abstract: A lower body stabilization apparatus for a back test, rehabilitation and exercise machine designed for the isolated testing, rehabilitation and exercise of the lower back musculature of a person in rotation about a vertical axis is disclosed. The lower body stabilization apparatus has a seat on which the person sits. The seat may be raised or lowered so that a scapula pad of an upper body rotation assembly of the machine is against the scapula of the person. A seat back which bears against the lower back of the person may be moved forward or backward in order to align the natural anatomical axis below the waist of the person with the axis of rotation of the rotation assembly. A lap belt secured into a lap belt buckle holds the person against the seat back and also down against the seat. Two side cushions bear against the pelvis to prevent lateral movement of the pelvis. Two knee pads of a knee pad assembly bear against the inside of the legs between the knees and thighs.
