Publication number: 20230415429Abstract: A composite manufacturing system includes a lamination tool, including a lamination surface, first locating targets extending the lamination surface, and second locating targets extending the lamination surface. The system includes a computer-aided measurement system to measure the first locating targets, the second locating targets, and line profiles of the lamination surface and to generate master surface-data and master target-data. The master target-data represents target positions of the first locating targets and the second locating targets. The master surface-data represents profile positions of the line profiles. The line profiles are associated with target pairs. Each one of the target pairs includes one of the first locating targets and an opposing one of the second locating targets.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 10, 2023Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Marcin A. Patent number: 4959637Abstract: An emergency signaling device adapted to attach to an existing flashlight is disclosed. The device provides audio, optical and radio frequency alarms when the device detects no movement for a period of time. The radio frequency alarm is coded so that a plurality of the devices may be used in conjunction with a receiver to form an emergency signaling system. The receiver decodes the signal and indicates which device has transmitted the alarm. The device uses the battery in the flashlight for power. A noxious gas detector may also be integrated into the device.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 1989Date of Patent: September 25, 1990Assignee: National Safety Devices, Inc.Inventors: Richard E. Patent number: 4764974Abstract: The specification discloses an apparatus and method for processing an image as part of a fast Fourier transform (FFT) operation. An image processor includes a first and second memory, each for storing the data representing an image as an array of numbers in a format having rows and columns of data positions. A controller is provided for scrolling the data in each row of the second memory with respect to the first memory by at least one data position and for outputting the data of both memories to a data processor. The data processor combines every other group of at least one number of each row of the scrolled data with a corresponding every other group of at least one number of each row of the data from the first memory and passes to its output the data from the first memory for the remaining data positions, whereby a new array of data is produced that is useful as part of a fast Fourier transform operation.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1986Date of Patent: August 16, 1988Assignee: Perceptics CorporationInventor: Richard E. Patent number: 4625636Abstract: A compactor particularly for junk vehicles, has a flatbed supporting a pair of opposed, hinged compaction doors. Each door has a linkage hydraulically operated to open and close the door for compaction of the vehicle against the flatbed. A winch disposed on the front of the compactor has its tow line extending beneath the doors and connects to the front or rear end of the vehicle to progressively advance the vehicle over the flatbed for compaction by the doors. A sequence control circuit is also provided which automatically opens and closes the compactor doors and automatically operates the winch to sequentially advance segments of the vehicle into the compactor. Additionally, the compactor can easily be made portable facilitating its transportation from one location to another.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1985Date of Patent: December 2, 1986Assignee: Car-Go, Corp.Inventors: Richard E. Woods, Marvin D. Bradburn

Each door has a linkage hydraulically operated to open and close the door for compaction of the vehicle against the flatbed. A winch disposed on the front of the compactor has its tow line extending beneath the doors and connects to the end of the vehicle opposite the flatbed to progressively advance the vehicle over the flatbed for compaction by the doors. A sequence control circuit is also provided which automatically opens and closes the compactor doors and automatically operates the winch to sequentially advance segments of the vehicle into the compactor. Additionally, the compactor can easily be made portable facilitating its transportation from one location to another.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1983Date of Patent: April 16, 1985Assignee: Car-Go, Corp.Inventors: Richard E. Patent number: 4467572Abstract: A collapsible dwelling is provided, including a plurality of elements hingedly joined with each other, which, when in assembled relationship, cooperatively define a protective enclosure suitable for pets, or, when constructed on a larger scale, for young children. All elements are hinged strategically so that the elements can be partially disassembled and the aggregate parts stacked, one upon the other, for inclusion within a container having a length and width no greater than that of the largest elements. At least two anchoring loops are attached at opposing sides of the dwelling and are so situated that ground stakes capturing the loops can be driven into the supporting surface to positively locate the dwelling. The dwelling is designed to be packaged within a rectangular container with one of the anchoring loops coinciding with a cutout in the container, which loop, when drawn through the cutout, serves conveniently as a carrying handle.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1982Date of Patent: August 28, 1984Inventors: Rex E. Patent number: 4278969Abstract: A driver warning system has a steering sensor with a light source and photocell mounted on the steering column and directing a light beam towards a strip having alternate bands of reflective and non-reflective material formed thereon. A circuit coupled to the photocell is provided for sensing the transition between a reflected beam and a non-reflected beam. The beam is radiated at a frequency to which the circuit is sensitive so that ambient light will not cause a false signal. A transducer is provided for sensing the vehicle speed and providing a corresponding voltage. The warning system is inoperative below a minimum vehicle speed. Alarm circuitry is actuated upon the absence of a transition for a predetermined time period, dependent on vehicle speed. Both the predetermined time period between transitions to trigger the alarm and the vehicle speed at which the system alarm is operative are adjustable with the predetermined time period between transitions varying with vehicle speed.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1979Date of Patent: July 14, 1981Assignee: Reli CorporationInventor: Richard E.
