  • Patent number: 5411231
Abstract: A device for removably holding a non-magnetic object to a selectable location on a magnetic component without penetrating the surface of the magnetic component is disclosed. The device is particularly suited for holding a non-magnetic coat hanger arrangement or a non-magnetic kick plate either or both onto a steel door commonly found in industrial, commercial and domestic applications. The device comprises a magnet and means for varying the intensity of the magnetic field between the magnet and the steel door so that the device is snugly attached thereon, yet removable therefrom in a snap-action manner.

  • Patent number: 4335483
Abstract: A device for applying coating liquids to a surface has primary and secondary units that are interconnected with the interconnection including a handle. Each roller is provided with a surface layer that readily absorbs the coating liquid. The primary unit is for use in applying the coating liquid with the roller of the secondary unit providing support when both rollers are held against the surface. In practice, the roller of the secondary unit is shorter than that of the primary unit and the interconnection enables the secondary unit to be detached and used by itself or while still attached.
