  • Patent number: 8056869
Abstract: A bracket is provided having a spacer connected to a first and second arms. The spacer has a proximate end and a distal end disposed apart from each other at a suitable distance. The first arm has a base end and a free end, the base end being connected to a first side of the proximate end of the spacer and the free end extending from the proximate end. The second arm has a base end and a free end, the base end connected to the proximate end, and the free arm extending from the proximate end. The first arm, the second arm, and the proximate end substantially form a ring having a gap between the free ends of the first and second arms. Another bracket is provided having a hook and a ring connected to a top of the hook, wherein the ring includes a gap formed therein.

  • Publication number: 20090143003
Abstract: An apparatus, system, method, and computer program are provided for adjusting venting of an enclosure. According to an example aspect of the invention the method adjusts venting in an enclosure enclosing heat generating equipment. The enclosure has at least one ventilation surface having at least one aperture formed therein. The method includes attaching at least one part of at least one cover to the enclosure, and positioning the cover in a selected orientation facing the ventilation surface of the enclosure. The cover may be placed substantially flush with the ventilation surface or may be positioned so that it forms an acute angle relative to the ventilation surface. In addition, the method may also include detecting at least one predetermined condition and varying the orientation of the cover with respect to the ventilation surface in response to detecting the condition.

  • Publication number: 20090015120
Abstract: A cabinet includes a housing for housing equipment, and a heat dissipation device for dissipating heat in the housing. At least a part of the heat dissipation device is formed integrally with at least a part of the housing. The heat dissipation device includes a fluid passageway adjacent the housing. The fluid passageway includes first and second surface portions, together defining an enclosing structure surrounding an interior space, and first and second openings in the enclosing structure. The first surface portion defines a boundary between the interior space and a region containing the equipment. The first and second openings are provided in respective locations not on the first surface portion. Fluid is caused to flow into the first opening, through the interior space of the enclosing structure, and out of the second opening by means of convection, dissipating heat from the first region.

  • Patent number: 5124095
Abstract: Foam thermoplastic injection molding apparatus and method produces structurally superior foam injection molded products. The process includes plasticating solid polymer to a polymer melt; accumulating the melt in an accumulator having a telescoping inlet, which allows the first melt which enters to be the first to leave the accumulator; combining a preselected amount of melt with a preselected amount of gas in bubble form to form homogenized polymer foam; shearing the homogenized polymer foam to reduce the size of gas bubbles; and injecting the polymer foam through a special gate assembly into a mold. The gate assembly has a removable nose which remains with the mold, allowing the foam to expand within the mold but not allowing the foam to escape the mold. The process and apparatus allow low molded-in stress products to be produced, and can process recyclable thermoplastics, either single materials or mixtures. Thus, no segregation of materials is required.

  • Patent number: 4466538
Abstract: A hypodermic needle disposal system includes a portable disposable bottle having a cap assembly movable between an open position permitting used needles to be dropped into the bottle and a closed position locked against reopening. The cap assembly comprises a shim positioned over a bottle opening and a cap ring secured to the bottle in a position overlying the shim and rotatable between the open and closed positions, wherein the shim and cap ring have passages of predetermined shape formed off-center therein. In the open position, these off-center passages are aligned to permit dropping of used needles into the bottle which is shaped for controlled needle stacking for optimized numerical capacity. In the closed position, the off-center passages are moved out of alignment to close the bottle opening, and locking members on the cap ring and bottle are moved into locked engagement to prevent return cap ring movement toward the open position.
