  • Patent number: 11935626
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods to assemble genomes of eukaryotic or prokaryotic organisms. The disclosure further provides methods for haplotype phasing and meta-genomics assemblies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2020
Date of Patent: March 19, 2024
Assignee: The Regents of the University of California
Inventors: Richard E. Green, Jr., Liana F. Lareau
  • Patent number: 5299492
Abstract: A multiple baker for confectionery items such as waffles and pancakes having multiple baking irons vertically mounted between vertical heating partitions of a base and pivotally hinged to the base for rotation in a vertical plane, between a baking position and an offset position. Each baking iron has separatable shell members for receiving the food items and a flanged mouth positioned atop each baking iron when in the baking position. The position of the flange mouth allows steam to escape vertically during the baking process and distance the user from the steam.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4738421
Abstract: A self-orienting device is disclosed for a transducer adapted to be dropped from an aircraft or other vehicle. An elongated body is provided with first, second and third arms each of which is pivotally connected with the body for pivotal motion between a stowed position parallel to the body and an erect position perpendicular to the body. The first and second arms are disposed on opposite sides of the body and the third arm is disposed therebetween. An actuator spring is provided on each arm urging it from the stowed position to the erect position and a tubular housing over the arms and body retains the arms in the stowed position. The third arm is also retained in the stowed position by a separate releasable retainer. After the transducer comes to rest on the ground, an ejector spring is released to separate the housing from the arms and the body whereby the first and second arms move to the erect position.

  • Patent number: 4683564
Abstract: A matrix switch system is described with which a large number of communication lines can be interconnected. The lines are arranged in multiplex groups which are in turn sampled by multiplexers. The multiplexers in turn are coupled to matrix lines which intersect at connectable crosspoints. A common timing signal with a predetermined minimum number of time slices is used to reconfigure the system during each time slice and form the desired line connections through the multiplexers and crosspoints for signal transfer. A technique is described to allocate time slices for the various connections of the lines and minimize matrix lock conditions.
