  • Publication number: 20040019236
Abstract: A process for preparing solutions of sulfonated arylphosphines comprising reacting arylphosphines with oleum, diluting the sulfonation mixture with water, extracting the diluted sulfonation mixture with a solution of a water-insoluble organic solvent, reacting the organic phase with a solution of an inorganic base in water, adjusting the resulting aqueous solutin of sulfonated arylphosphines to a pH of up to 3 by addition of an acid, and passing an inert gas stream through the aqueous solution comprising sulfonated arylphosphines until sulfur is no longer liberated from the aqueous solution of sulfonated arylphosphines.

  • Publication number: 20030119923
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating and recovering rhodium from reaction products of oxosynthesis, especially reaction products containing cobalt. The invention also relates to the reuse of rhodium as a catalyst for hydroformulation and to a catalyst for hydroformulation itself. The inventive method is characterized by the following: extraction of the organic solution with an aqueous phosphate solution or a phosphate solution, water washing, oxidative treatment of the organic phase, and extraction of the organic phase with an aqueous water-soluble arylphosphine solution.

  • Patent number: 6552567
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to functional pathway configurations at the interfaces between integrated circuits (ICs) and the circuit assemblies with which the ICs communicate. More particularly, the present invention relates generally to the functional pathway configuration at the interface between one or more semiconductor integrated circuit dice, including an IC package and the circuitry of a system wherein the integrated circuit dice is a digital signal controller. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to a 18, 28, 40, 44, 64 or 80 pin functional pathway configuration for the interface between the digital signal controller and the system in which it is embedded.

  • Patent number: 6066931
Abstract: A motor controller unit includes an operating program that controllably responds to manual motor start and stop commands for protection of the semiconductor switches connected with each phase of a multi-phase electric motor. Upon receipt of a start command, a determination is made as to whether the measured time lapse between a previous stop command is less than a predetermnined time delay period.

  • Patent number: 5176750
Abstract: This invention is that of an azo pigment composition containing about 1 to 10 percent by weight of a nonionic alkyl polyglycoside dispersing agent. The polyglycosides useful in the invention have the general formulae:C.sub.n H.sub.2n+1 M (C.sub.6 H.sub.10 O.sub.5).sub.x Hwherein: M is an oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen phosphorous or silicon atom; n is an integer from 8 to 18, preferably 8 to 11 and X represents the number average degree of polymerization having a numerical value from about 1 to about 2. These azo pigment compositions are prepared by conducting the azo pigment coupling reaction in the presence of said alkyl polyglycoside. The resulting pigment exhibit superior application properties in water based ink systems.
