Abstract: A shoe includes a shoe upper, a first lace and a second lace. The shoe upper includes a heel end, a toe end, and a mid-foot portion between the heel end and the toe end. The first lace is connected to the shoe upper and includes a wide portion and a narrow portion with a tapered portion in-between. The wide portion of the first lace is fastened to the mid-foot portion of the shoe upper at a first position that is nearer to the toe end than the heel end. The second lace is also connected to the shoe upper and also includes a wide portion and a narrow portion with a tapered portion in-between. The wide portion of the second lace is fastened to the mid-foot portion of the shoe upper at a second position that is nearer to the heel end than the first position.

To improve the spring constant of the damping element, the damping element (3) has an, upper group (4) of damping bodies (5) and a lower group (9) of damping bodies (10), each having a substantial U-shaped cross section. The upper damping bodies (5) have two legs (6, 7) which are connected with a connection section (8). The lower damping bodies (10) have two legs (11, 12) which are connected with a connection section (13). An intermediate carrier (14) is arranged between damping bodies (5; 10) and legs (6, 7; 11, 12). Adjacent legs (6, 7; 11, 12) of the respective damping bodies (5; 10) are connected at a location of conjunction (15, 16) and the locations of conjunction (15, 16) of the upper and of the lower damping bodies (5; 10) are offset in longitudinal direction (L).

Abstract: The invention concerns a shoe, particularly an athletic shoe, comprising a shoe upper part and a sole. At least one cushioning element is placed above or inside the sole. This cushioning element is formed from a number of webs that form cavities extending horizontally and transversally to the longitudinal direction of the shoe. In order to improve the spring and cushioning behavior as well as the pronation an supination behavior of the shoe, the invention provides that the shoe has a hind foot of heel shell to which the at least one portion of the webs directly adjoin.
