  • Publication number: 20090084833
Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a blank of foldable material that is configurable to form a container. When formed, the container includes air cell structures that allow for the container with a constant outside volume to have a variable inside volume. The air cell structure of this container functions to prevent telescoping of vertically stacked containers for strength and stability. The relative size of the panels used in forming the air cell portion from one container to the next is variable to allow for a single outside volume, but differing inside volumes.

  • Patent number: 7472819
Abstract: The embodiments of the present invention provide a blank of foldable material configurable to form a container. When formed, the container includes a viewing section formed in a front panel. Likewise, the side panel and rear panel assemblies have both inner and outer panel configurations. The side panel assemblies include at least one intermediate partial side panel as well. The multi-panel side and rear panel assemblies give strength and stability to the container. The container may be partially machine erected, machine erected, or hand set.

  • Patent number: 4760952
Abstract: A bulk box and slip sheet construction. The one piece paperboard blank from which the bulk box is formed has a plurality of main, side forming panels, the lower end of each foldably carrying a bottom forming panel. At least one of the bottom forming panels is provided with a slip sheet. The slip sheet is glued to at least one of the box bottom forming panels. One edge of the slip sheet, termed a clamping edge, extends from its bottom forming panel to a region beyond the fold line which connects this bottom forming panel to its respective side forming panel. After the blank has been erected, this clamping edge can be clamped to pull the box onto a slip sheet lift truck for transport and/or stacking. More than one slip sheet can be employed, or a longer single slip sheet, to thereby provide the bulk box with more than a single clamping edge portion.

  • Patent number: 4174051
Abstract: A carton particularly constructed for receiving a container having a spout wherein the top closure flaps of the carton have openings means for permitting the projection of the spout for the purpose of filling the container or dispensing the contents thereof. The opening means includes deflectable flaps in inner flaps aligned with a through opening in the outer flaps with the deflectable flaps serving to protect a dust cover carried by the closure against direct engagement by the container spout. The deflectable flaps are bendable through the through opening in the outer flaps and serve to define a lock to hold the spout in its extended or projected position. The deflectable flaps have intermediate fold lines facilitating the folding thereof to release the spout.
