Abstract: In a fixed delay optical communication system, rate adjustable differential phase shift key (DPSK) techniques eliminate the need for multiple comparing modules, each corresponding to a different data rate. Setting alternative data rates at integer multiples of the fundamental data rate of the optical communication system allows the system to process the respective integer number of symbols per period of the system, wherein the period of the system is the inverse of the fundamental data rate. Pulse carving techniques may be used to set the duty cycle of clock levels associated with a clock signal. The clock levels may be combined with respective symbols to provide optical symbols having a duty cycle less than 100%.

The container comprises a flexible bag which has a top portion provided with a filling inlet for filling the bag, and a bottom portion provided with a discharging outlet for discharging the bag. The container also comprises a frame for supporting and containing the bag and several stretchable bands connected to the frame for upwardly and resiliently biasing side walls of the bag. The biasing mechanism is automatically engaged during the unloading process of the bag, thus eliminating practically any human intervention.

Abstract: A coating mortar compound for pressure spraying over a surface to be levelled. The mortar compound comprises as active ingredients the following three ingredients: a) hydraulic lime, preferably of moderate hydraulicity; b) Portland cement; c) vinyl acetate dry polymer; and further comprising as filler and the main ingredient in weight of the total compound weight the following single ingredient: d) a mineral filler, preferably silica sand. Upon having been sprayed over a surface to be levelled, the mortar compound remains both permeable to water vapors while enabling scupturing thereof even after partial curing thereof. Various additives may be included to enhance the performance of the composition. These optional additives include: hollow glass or ceramic spheres, a defoaming agent, a water retention agent, a rheological aid, a water repellent agent, a water reducing agent, and an accelerator agent.
