  • Patent number: 11628262
Abstract: Devices having male connectors for preventing connection to non-compatible female connectors are described. An exemplary male connector includes an elongate tip and a collar disposed coaxially around the elongate tip including a plurality of ribs disposed on either an inside surface or an outside surface of the collar for preventing entry of a non-compatible female connector into a channel formed between the elongate tip and the collar. One or more embodiments pertain to a device with a male connector and a compatible female connector including a threaded portion for engaging a corresponding threaded portion of the male connector.

  • Patent number: 10286142
Abstract: A syringe packaging system that includes a packaging member defining a first compartment, a second compartment, and a third compartment that are in gaseous communication theretogether is disclosed. The first compartment is structured to receive a syringe barrel therein, the second compartment is structured to receive a plunger rod therein, and the third compartment is structured to receive an oxygen absorber therein. With the packaging member enclosing the syringe barrel, the plunger rod, and the oxygen absorber, the oxygen absorber is adapted to draw oxygen from within the syringe barrel and to absorb oxygen contained within at least one of the first compartment, the second compartment, and the third compartment of the packaging member. The syringe packaging system of the present disclosure also allows for reduced storage space of a syringe assembly.

  • Patent number: 7713245
Abstract: A plunger for a retracting needle syringe includes a hollow elongate body portion having a proximal end, a distal end, and a side wall therebetween defining a cavity. The distal end includes a distal wall having an inside surface and an outside surface. A stopper, at the distal end of the body portion, includes a peripheral portion performing a seal with the inside surface of a syringe barrel and at least one radial element extending from about a center of the outside surface of the distal wall to the peripheral portion. The distal end of the body portion includes at least one primary chamfer in the cavity at an intersection of the inside surface of the distal wall and the side wall. The chamfer is positioned under the at least one radial element for supporting the distal wall and the radial element when a hollow sleeve in the syringe barrel cuts through the end wall plunger. A secondary, smaller chamfer on each side of the primary chamfer is also provided.
