  • Patent number: 10678963
Abstract: Methods and devices for determining speed control management settings are provided. A vehicle configuration is obtained, specifying at least a transmission, including a number of gears present in the transmission. One or more speed control management modules, such as progressive shift and/or gear down protection modules, are selected by a customer. One or more default progressive shift limits and a default gear down protection limit are calculated, along with gears for which they are active. Performance of the vehicle using the default speed control management settings is simulated and compared to typical vehicle performance. The customer may alter the speed control management settings within dynamically determined valid ranges. The speed control management settings are used in the manufacture or other configuration of the vehicle for the customer.

  • Patent number: 10096052
Abstract: A powertrain optimization device and method that compares a predicted performance of customer-selected vehicle components to a customer-selected optimization goal. The optimization goal is used to determine dynamic performance thresholds. The method compares gradability at cruise, gradability at peak torque, engine speed, and startability to the dynamic thresholds to determine whether the vehicle performance will be satisfactory. The customer selections of vehicle components, selections of optimization goals, and any acknowledgements of failed performance checks are stored for later use.

  • Publication number: 20090215034
Abstract: Method for selectively detecting nucleic acid molecules comprising structural aberrations that are capable of being convented into nicks comprising generating linear nucleic acids from a selected nucleic acid substrate population; denaturing and re-annealing the linear nucleic acids to form nucleic acid duplexes; masking the nucleic acid duplex termini and internal structural aberrations with a masking component; modifying the masked nucleic acids by introducing nicks therein using at least an enzyme possessing endonuclease activity: labelling the modified nucleic acids with labelled nucleotides via nucleic acid nick translation with at least an enzyme displaying a nucleic acid polymerase activity; and selecting and identifying the labelled nucleic acid.

  • Patent number: 4453842
Abstract: In a printer, a bail is attached to a wall of a supply chamber which contains a single supply roll. The bail has a pivot which allows the bail to pivot for providing access to the supply roll. A flexible web has one end attached to the wall of the supply chamber and the other end attached to a forward edge of the bail, and moves with the bail to resiliently contain blousing of paper from the supply roll.
