  • Publication number: 20220235242
Abstract: The present invention relates to an insulating coating composition, a substrate coated with such insulating coating composition and a method for protecting a substrate by using the insulating coating composition. The insulating coating composition comprises at least a) chemically toughened epoxy resin component, wherein the ratio of chemically toughened segments, which are elastomeric segments and bonded via chemical reaction on the epoxy resin, is in a range of 20-49 wt %, based on the total weight of said chemically modified epoxy resin component; b) a curing agent; c) reinforcing fibers; and d) low-density fillers with a density ranging from 0.05-0.7 g/cm3, preferably 0.08-0.5 g/cm3, more preferably 0.1-0.4 g/cm3.

  • Patent number: 10725323
Abstract: A display apparatus includes an optically opaque layer and one or more stacks of additional layers provided on the optically opaque layer. Each stack has an optically switchable layer. A plurality of switching elements are located on a side of the optically opaque layer opposite to the one or more stacks. Each switching element is operable to apply a signal, for example an electrical signal or a thermal signal, through the optically opaque layer to a switchable portion of the optically switchable layer and thereby change an appearance of the switchable portion when viewed from a viewing side of the display apparatus. The surface area of the optically opaque layer on the viewing side is at least 10% larger than the total surface area of the switchable portions on the viewing side.

  • Publication number: 20110024411
Abstract: A combined heating and conveyor apparatus for use in heating a bulk solid product, such as a food product, comprises a hollow channel member having a base that forms a conveying surface along which product is to be moved, the channel member having at least one entrance region and one discharge region, an actuator which in use causes the channel member to vibrate in a manner which tends to cause product introduced to the channel at the entrance region to move towards the discharge region; and characterised in that the channel member functions as a microwave frequency closed waveguide, and a source of microwave radiation is connected to the channel member in such a way that the microwave radiation propagates along the channel member and is substantially retained within the channel member whereby, in use, the energy in the microwaves can be at least partially absorbed by the product that passes along the channel.
