  • Patent number: 5590922
Abstract: A security device for locking adjacent members, comprising an apertured latch plate mounted on one member, and a locking device mounted on the other. The locking device is provided with a pivotally mounted element that is rotatable into locking engagement through the apertures of the latch plate. The actuating handle of the pivotally mounted element projects along a plane substantially parallel to the member on which it is mounted during engagement and at an outward angle therefrom during disengagement, detent means being provided to discretely establish these two conditions.

  • Patent number: 5566561
Abstract: An anti-theft device for attachment to the steering wheel of an automobile comprising two members having elongated shell housings adapted for coaxial coupling. The members enclose a core element that is controllably translated to rigidize the coupling, effect attachment to the steering wheel, and extend one end of the assembled device beyond the periphery of the steering wheel. The members are quickly disassembled for storage in the automobile glove box. When packaged for storage, the length of the package is less than one-half the length of the assembled device.

  • Patent number: 4984331
Abstract: A door holding mechanism for use with closure devices, having interacting members connected to the door that selectively, by touch, effect locking or sliding movement to permit unrestricted door movement or rigid positioning in one or more positions.

  • Patent number: 4754522
Abstract: A door holding mechanism having interacting members with cooperating cam surfaces that selectively, by touch, effect locking or sliding movement to permit unrestricted door movement or rigid positioning in partial open conditions.

  • Patent number: 4377940
Abstract: A cylinder lock wherein both cylinder and plug are radially bored to receive pin-pairs of specific design. A pin freeze element is positioned for movement within the plug in a direction substantially orthogonal to the axis of the plug bores. The interface between the pin freeze element and the pins includes incremental notches of matching configuration such that when the plug is turned, the pin freeze element engages the pins locking them from reciprocal movement. The mating surfaces of the pin freeze element and pins must be in registration for the plug to turn at all and they must be in perfect registration and properly aligned for the lock to open.

  • Patent number: 3989291
Abstract: A dual function slide bolt unit operative either to secure doors or other members with a rigid slide bolt, or in a second operating mode to firmly hold the door or other member ajar by a predetermined amount. The unit comprises a bolt carriage connected to the door, a keeper connectable to a door jamb, and an articulated bolt member mounted within the carriage and selectively positionable within the keeper.
