Abstract: An ergonomically friendly container having hot-fill capabilities is disclosed. The container has a pre-ovalized dome with grip surfaces that undergo controlled deformation for accommodating a portion of the volumetric shrinkage due to hot filling, capping and cooling.

Abstract: A load bearing container is provided which is made from a non-glass material and yet possesses the top load column strength of a glass container or bottle. The container includes a diagonally oriented molded ring profile composed of alternatingly outwardly protruding curved sections and inwardly curved channels which have root radii large enough to avoid accordion-like collapsing at the molded ring profile. The container includes a shoulder section having generally opposing edge profiles which are of unequal lengths. The container is suitable for hot-filling and will avoid buckling and deformation during cooling, storage, stacking, transporting, display and use.

Abstract: A chair comprises an integrally formed shell having a horizontal portion and a vertical portion. A seat pan is supported on resilient arms formed integrally with the shell. A pair of independently flexible arms of the vertical shell portion are formed integrally with shoulder support members. The resilience of the shoulder support arms and seat pan support arms provides a chair which is highly passive to the body movements of the user.

Abstract: A chair is provided that includes first and second integral tubes that define the front legs, seat perimeter, and back perimeter of the chair. An integral rod is provided which cooperates with openings in the first and second tubes to provide the rear legs and leg supports for the chair in a simple manner. The rod is welded to the tubes at the areas where it cooperates with openings in the tubes, to achieve good stability high dimensional control. The rod ends are shaped so that the rear legs and side leg supports are exterior of a volume defined by planes containing the first and second tubes, to provide for stackability of the chair. The chair seat and back preferably are of injection molded plastic, the seat having integral ribs formed on the bottom thereof to control its flexibility at various points.
