  • Publication number: 20240153283
Abstract: A driver monitoring system includes a first control unit, a second control unit, and a camera system. The camera system is configured to acquire image data of a driver and to output information corresponding to the image data to the first and second control units. The first control unit is configured to define a predetermined driver state based on the information received from the camera system and to output the defined driver state to the second control unit. The second control unit is configured to subject the information received from the camera system to a first plausibility check, to subject the driver state received from the first control unit to a second plausibility check, and to output a control signal to an actuator system and/or an information output device based on a result of the first and second plausibility checks and the driver state.

  • Patent number: 9936016
Abstract: A cloud based collaborative work environment enables users to work collaboratively within a shared workspace. An application server on a host device is accessible to client devices via a communication network and maintains the shared workspace for collaboration between users. Client applications hosted on client devices enable users of the workspace to access and make changes in the shared workspace, such as adding or deleting items to or from the workspace, editing or annotating existing items, viewing items in the workspace, or downloading items in the workspace. Local copies of the shared workspace are maintained by the client devices and are synchronized with the shared workspace maintained by the application server so that any changes made to by a user to its local copy of the shared workspace are propagated to other users. Thus, synchronization is maintained between master workspace and the local workspaces on the client devices.

  • Patent number: 8827086
Abstract: The invention relates to a hollow-fiber membrane for ultrafiltration made from a hydrophobic aromatic sulfone polymer and at least one hydrophilic polymer, the membrane having an open-pore separating layer on the lumen side, an adjoining supporting layer with asymmetric, sponge-like pore structure without finger pores and an outer layer adjoining the supporting layer towards the outer surface. The separating layer has a cutoff between 20 000 and 200 000 daltons, a thickness of max. 10% of the membrane thickness and an essentially isotropic pore structure. The size of the pores in the supporting layer initially increases up to a zone with maximum pore size, and then decreases towards the outer layer, and the outer layer exhibits a thickness of 10 to 30% of the wall thickness and an essentially isotropic pore structure. The mean size of the pores in the outer layer is larger than in the separating layer, but smaller than in the supporting layer.

  • Patent number: 7952314
Abstract: In normal mode, a central unit of an electronic control device receives desired and actual values for determining desired current values which are transmitted to an electronic drive unit. The central unit of the electronic drive unit receives the desired current values for determining drive signals for circuit breakers. In monitoring mode, the central unit of the electronic control device checks whether an connected electric motor is in a safe state. If not, the control device transmits disconnection signals to a disconnection device and to the drive unit. The central unit of the electronic control device generates checking information for the drive unit. In the monitoring mode, the central unit of the drive unit checks whether a disconnection signal is transmitted to the central unit and whether the checking information is correct.

  • Patent number: 7437337
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and a method for user-specific intuitive and secure control of operational inputs in software components with operational surfaces. Various operational elements on a surface can be reached with varying ease for the input of data, or for carrying out a confirmation action, for example, an OK click with the mouse. It is made easier or more difficult for an operator to carry out an input. The above is achieved, whereby input means, for example, a mouse are either drawn towards, or withdrawn away from the corresponding input regions. Erroneous inputs are thus avoided.

  • Patent number: 6523261
Abstract: A metallic press fitting element is made from a solid or hollow bar as starting material which is treated by a machining process, or by a machining process and a subsequent non-cutting process, to form a finished press fitting element with a pressing zone destined for connection of a pipe. The pressing zone is comprised of a hook-shaped region of substantially roof-shaped cross section for receiving an O-ring gasket, and an adjacent cylindrical region positioned inwardly of the hook-shaped region distal to an insertion end for the pipe into the pressing zone.

  • Patent number: 5505391
Abstract: Straw shredding/dispersing apparatus shreds straw or other shreddable material into small particles and disperses the particles over land. A conveyor feeds shreddable material through a door into a housing, and into a shredder in which three sets of flail-like structure shred the shreddable material. The first two sets of flail-like structure that impact the shreddable material spin at a slower speed than the third set of such structure. A centrifugal blower sucks the shredded material through a tapered inlet, and forces the material through a directable ejector tube. The ejector tube is remotely controlled to direct both its radial and vertical orientation.

  • Patent number: 5050888
Abstract: A board game including a playing board including a top surface with a plurality of tracks formed on the playing board each defined by a series of blind bores. Each of the tracks are arranged coextensively and coaxially relative to one another in a contiguous relationship. Each player of a plurality of players utilizing the game is provided with at least one peg for proceeding along each of the blind bores and a series of player dice and a single pacer die. The game is to numerically and by coloration associate coloration of the player dice with the pacer die member wherein each of the dye members utilized in the game are formed of three colorations with each of the colorations associated with a single digit of each six sided die member. Points are thusly derived are translated into movement of each peg along each respective track. A complete encircling of a single track by a player defines a winner.
