  • Publication number: 20090050171
Abstract: A cosmetic method for treating strands of hair comprising the subsequent steps of: placing the strands of hair to be treated between two substrates on which a first and second compositions capable of reacting together are applied, and implement for the same. The implement for carrying out the method may comprise a first and a second substrates in the form of strips of material that may be folded over each other such that at least one section of the strands of hair to be treated is sandwiched between the first and second compositions.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6518228
Abstract: Aqueous compositions containing about 0.5-10% of at least one salt of a fatty acid amide of an amino acid, and about 0.05-0.2% of a salt of an acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, or about 0.1-0.75% of a salt of acrylates copolymer, are clear, foamable and ultra-mild on skin. When dispensed by a pump sprayer the compositions afford a dense, uniform, stable foam which when spread on the skin gives an elegant cushioning foam pad effect between the hand and skin.

  • Publication number: 20020094341
Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions containing a liquid crystal/gel network (LCGN) emulsion thickened with suitable thickening agents containing oil controlling agents.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20010047039
Abstract: The present invention relates to skin moisturizing compositions comprising a liquid crystal/gel network (LCGN) emulsion system comprising water, cationic emulsifiers, low HLB emulsifiers and emollients. In one aspect, the compositions comprise an emollient component as an occlusive agent, such as a petroleum-derived or a non-petroleum-derived occlusive agent, in the LCGN emulsion system. Additives such as adjuvants, active agents, or excipients may also be included in the compositions of the invention. The compositions of the present invention provide excellent moisturization and improved aesthetics (faster absorbency with more pleasant afterfeel properties) compared with traditionally available moisturizing products having different compositions and components and containing petroleum and/or mineral oil, to which are attributed greasiness and other unpleasant, user-perceived attributes.

  • Patent number: 5534265
Abstract: The present invention relates to nonabrasive thickened aqueous-based personal cleansing compositions. These compositions utilize insoluble micronized cleansing particles of defined particle size that are not tactilely perceived by the user during the cleansing process, and yet which provide improved cleansing performance from the composition.
