    Abstract: An integral and disposable combination air filter and air freshener or germicidal element for use in a forced air type ventilation heating and cooling system wherein the air freshener or germicidal element is made an integral part of the filter element or support casing therefore in unison and wherein a predetermined depletion rate of the air freshener or germicidal aromatics coincides with the regular replacement intervals of the filter element. The entire unit is readily adaptable to be inserted in or removed from the air circulation system and disposed. The support casing for the filter elements may also have special baffles designed therein to prolong the effectiveness of the aromatics.
