  • Patent number: 6913415
Abstract: A modular barrier includes a plurality of identical barrier sections. Each section 10 includes a base portion 12 surmounted by an upright portion 14. The upright portion has projections 16, 18 with substantially semicylindrical outer surfaces at its ends. Correspondingly shaped recesses 20, 22 are also provided. At a female end, the base portion 12 includes a nose 28. The surface of the nose is a surface of rotation of the profile of the base portion 12. At the male end, the base portion 12 includes a correspondingly shaped cavity 30. The first and second projections 16, 18 and nose 28 are provided with bores 32, 34, 36. When the female end of the barrier section 10 is brought up to a male end of a similar section, the projections mate with one another and the nose 28 is received in the cavity 30 of the similar section. A hinge pin (not shown) may then be passed through the bores 32, 34, and 36.

  • Patent number: 6507958
Abstract: A multi-function base unit for an outdoor portable restroom cabana that is molded from a plastic material to form a combined cabana floor, waste-holding tank, and pallet skids for support and for forklift access. The unit includes a base that defines a holding tank and a pallet that supports the cabana. The base includes a top floor panel enclosing the base holding tank. The panel may be removed for storing restroom components therein when the toilet cabana is in a knock-down state, and for storing waste when the cabana is assembled and used, and for stabilizing the cabana as the holding tank is filled. The base unit is designed with a floor on which either an Asian style or Western style toilet unit may be mounted with or without flushing capability.

  • Patent number: 6199222
Abstract: A combined toilet and waste holding tank is provided for mounting within a portable toilet cabana having side walls, a rear wall, and a front wall with a door and a floor. The tank extends along the rear wall and between the side walls and occupies roughly the rear half of the cabana floor space. The toilet includes a ring-like structure having a rear portion opening directly into the tank through a cover panel upon the upper surface of the tank, and also having a forward extending, bowl-like portion which is integral with and extends forwardly of the front wall of the tank. The cabana has a rear-to-front extending central axis which approximately bisects the cabana. The toilet structure is located substantially on one side of the cabana axis, so that it is closer to one side wall of the cabana and the toilet is acutely angled relative to the cabana axis.

The cabana includes a generally flat, planar base and a plurality of interchangeable wall panels coupled to the base that extend generally perpendicularly upwardly from the base. A roof panel is affixed atop the plurality of wall panels. A door frame, including a door hingedly connected thereto, is positioned between two of the plurality of wall panels and includes a bottom edge generally co-planar with the flat base. Each of a plurality of wall connectors is positioned between adjacent wall panels in a lengthwise manner for coupling the adjacent wall panels.
