The method comprises preparing a mixture comprising wood, chitosan, optionally a crosslinking agent, and optionally an acid, forming a mat with the mixture, and pressing the mat under heat and pressure so as to obtain the wood-based panel.

Abstract: There is provided a method of manufacturing an impact resistant laminated structure which comprises a support board, an adhesive and a decor paper. The method comprises introducing, in a short cycle press, the support board, the adhesive, and the decor paper, and consolidating them in a single step. A novel impact resistant laminated structure is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention provides a gas purification apparatus for purifying effluent gas by treating VOCs and the CO2 gas, comprising a biofiltration chamber containing micro-organisms for degrading the VOCs and producing a partially cleansed gas containing CO2 gas by-product; and an enzymatic chamber comprising an enzyme capable of catalyzing the hydration of the CO2 gas by-product into bicarbonate ions and hydrogen ions, to produce an ion rich solution and a purified gas. Additionally, a gas purification process is provided.
