  • Patent number: 6618730
Abstract: A workflow management system provides an integrated approach to exchanging information real-time and notifying responsible persons of pending deadlines concerning a particular deal. The web-based system includes a server having a centralized database of deal data and at least one client system facilitates a method of uploading initial proposed deal data, notifying an underwriter of the uploaded proposal, uploading a workflow timeline for the proposed deal and notifying responsible persons that actions for tasks are due according to the timeline. The workflow management system is further configured to restrict database access to authorized users for viewing of and providing updates to the deal.

  • Patent number: 5070436
Abstract: To protect people who must be seen, to avoid their injury, when they are in areas where safety protection is needed, such as on or nearby roadways, highways, waterways, airports, etc., a signal vest is worn by them, which is made of durable bright colored materials, durable reflective materials, and equipped in front and back with flashing lights, controlled by self contained electrical circuits, including a replacable and/or rechargeable battery. The electrical circuits operate independently of one another, so any damage to one circuit, only eliminates some of the front and back flashing lights.

  • Patent number: 4639016
Abstract: A system for repairing pipeline, such as underground fuel, gas or water pipeline systems which have been damaged by explosives, wherein the ruptured sections have been misaligned. Quick-connect fittings are attached to the misaligned pipe ends after trimming and a bridging conduit system is interposed between the fittings having adjustable portions for accommodating the misalignment. Rotative angular sections provide universal adjustment while retaining the fluid-tight integrity of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4484482
Abstract: The invention pertains to a valve particularly suitable for sampling internal combustion engine lubricating oil while being used within the engine and consists of a valve body placed within a pressurized oil conduit. The body includes an orifice having a valve element movable between open and closed positions by a sample collecting receptacle wherein one hand operation is readily achieved. The valve element includes a proboscis suitable for piercing the sample receptacle diaphragm, and a spring produces a positive biasing force on the valve element toward the closed position. A removable cover protects the valve element and proboscis when not in use.

  • Patent number: 4213021
Abstract: A valve apparatus having a poppet valve carrying a magnet and a switch responsive to movements of the magnet wherein the switch is activated and deactivated by movement of the magnet into and out of proximity with the switch. The spring biased poppet valve is movable from a closed position under the influence of a predetermined fluid flow rate in one direction to an open, switch activating position and then is returned upon a slight reduction in fluid flow in the opposite direction past the switch activating position to a switch deactivating position intermediate the latter and the valve closed position. The valve is formed with a specially configured nose portion to provide poppet valve travel at predetermined fluid flow rates to activate and deactivate the switch.
