  • Publication number: 20070199043
Abstract: A multi-channel, high-definition media network. According to one embodiment, the media network is capable of distributing high definition and standard definition video signals as well as various audio format signals in an uncompressed manner while allowing for interconnection of A/V source and rendering devices in a robust, ring network topology. Additionally, it provides a common network backbone for more general-purpose computer networking (office and control system data). With this versatility, the media system may reside in a variety of locations such as a residence, a commercial building, a motor bus, yacht, or aircraft, etc.

  • Publication number: 20020116707
Abstract: A client system and method for real-time rendering of digital content from a network. The invention includes a digital media engine configured to receive and process the digital content, and a media gateway that hosts a user interface web page. The web page includes user-selectable controls, preferably associated with one or more client-side scripts or control programs. The user-selectable controls enable navigation of the network, and control of the digital media engine. The system further includes a media control interface connecting the digital media engine and the media gateway, via the user interface web page and control programs provided thereby.

  • Publication number: 20020116708
Abstract: A user interface for a streaming media client includes web browser-type controls provided by a web page and hosted by a top-level web browser application. The user interface includes other controls for controlling the access, retrieval, and delivery of digital media to a client system. The browser-type controls are generated by executable client-side scripts that are called through the top-level web page. The top-level web page is provided by a media gateway, through which communication with a user, and user commands, takes place.

  • Patent number: 6118193
Abstract: An electromagnetic machine, for using electrical energy to generate a propulsive force, includes an inertia ring disposed within an outer casing. The inertia ring can rotate freely relative to the outer casing. The outer casing supports a pair of primary coils. The inertia ring carries a plurality of secondary magnetic coils thereon. There is a pair of brushes that energizes the secondary magnetic coils on either side of each of the primary coils, as the secondary coils move past the pairs of brushes. The primary coils are energized to attract the secondary coils on one side thereof while repelling the secondary coils on the other side thereof to thereby impart rotational movement to the inertia ring relative to the outer casing.

  • Patent number: 4669992
Abstract: A recreational waterslide having a board (10) adapted to skim across the surface of a body of water and a seat (20) secured to the upper surface of the board so as to support a rider in a seated, kneeling position. The upper portion of the seat is spaced a predetermined distance from the upper surface of the board to elevate the buttocks of the rider above his ankles and transfer the rider's body weight forward. Concavely contoured side portions (50, 52) of the seat permit the rider to grip the seat between his legs for control while riding and to grip the seat with elbows and forearms for control when starting in the water.
