The customer order includes at least one good and an associated customer identification number, e.g., a customer motor vehicle license plate number. The techniques further includes capturing images of the license plates of motor vehicles as the motor vehicles enter an order pick-up area located at the store, and if the associated customer motor vehicle license plate number matches one of the received motor vehicle license plate numbers from the optical character recognition unit, delivering the customer order to the motor vehicle associated with the customer.

Payment information is received for each of the multiple people and that payment information is used to purchase the particular items associated with the particular person. Order processing instructions are generated that identify particular items associated with each of the multiple people.

Abstract: Various examples of methods and systems for allowing placement of additional order before pickup of a pre-existing online order are described. In one implementation, a method may receive a first order placed by a user to purchase at least a first item and an indication of a first time as an estimated time for pickup of the first order. The method may also receive at a second time a confirmation by the user that confirms pickup of the first order at approximately the estimated time for pickup. The method may further provide a selection of one or more items for the user to purchase in addition to the first order. The quantity and variety of the one or more items of the selection may be based at least in part on a duration between the second time and the first time.

Abstract: Example item reminder systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method receives a request to create an order and receives identification of multiple items in the order. The method identifies multiple items regularly purchased by a customer but not included in the multiple items. The method also identifies a purchase frequency of the regularly purchased items. If any of the regularly purchased items are due for purchase, based on the purchase frequency, the customer is presented with an option to purchase those regularly purchased items that are due for purchase.

Abstract: Various examples of methods and systems for combining online order with additional purchase during pickup of the online order are described. In one implementation, a method may receive a first order to purchase at least a first item from a user via a first channel. The method may also receive a second order to purchase at least a second item from the user via a second channel different from the first channel. Abstract: The current disclosure extends to facilitation of a transaction for one or more items with a customer via a kiosk. In embodiments, the kiosk is located at or proximate to a retail store. In embodiments, a customer can order products or services via an ordering platform such as a merchant website. The customer may receive an order confirmation and a unique transaction identifier. The customer may then travel to a kiosk at the store and enter the transaction identifier to recall the order. While the order is open at the kiosk, the customer may add or substitute items, order specialty items such as prescriptions or fuel, make payment, and confirm the transaction. Purchased items may then be carried out to the customer at the kiosk.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing coupons to a customer are provided. The method may include a computer server associated with a store receiving, from a customer, an image of a receipt from a competing store. The server may identify a product on the receipt which was purchased by the customer at the competing store and a purchase price. The server may compare the product with a corresponding product sold by the store to determine if the product was purchased by the customer at the competing store for a lower price than a price at which the corresponding product is sold at the store. The server may prepare a coupon for the customer to offer the customer a discount for shopping at the store if the product was purchased by the customer at the competing store for a lower price and transmit the coupon to the customer.

Abstract: Example systems and methods for delivering products are described. In one implementation, a request is received from a user to deliver an order to a remote pick-up location. The order includes a first item requiring refrigeration and a second item that is temperature-independent. A method identifies multiple remote pick-up locations convenient to the user and communicates the identified locations to the user. A delivery of the order is scheduled for a particular remote pick-up location selected by the user. The user is notified of a pick-up time window to access the order at the particular remote pick-up location. An access code associated with the order is generated and communicated to the user. The access code allows the user to access the order at the particular remote pick-up location during the pick-up time window.

Abstract: Example systems and methods for delivering products are described. In one implementation, a parcel shipped from an online merchant is received by a local merchant. A customer identity affixed to the parcel is used to identify a particular customer. Based on customer contact information, the customer is notified of receipt of the parcel by the local merchant. Upon receipt of a request to deliver the parcel from the customer, a delivery is scheduled to deliver both the parcel and a grocery order to the customer.

Abstract: The current disclosure extends to delivery of one or more items secured within a tote to a customer at a selected location by a delivery associate who may not be granted immediate access to the secured items. Embodiments of the present disclosure include an order processing module for receiving and processing transactions, an application server for transmitting instructions to an item originator, thereby directing the item originator to place the item into the tote and lock or otherwise secure the tote, and one or more user devices for conducting a video call between a verifier and the recipient. By verifying that no intermediate carrier had access to the contents of the secure tote and by verifying the identity of the recipient via the video call, it may be presumed that the chain of custody of the secured item passed directly from the item originator to the recipient.

Abstract: A method for providing purchase suggestions to a customer is provided. The method may include a computer server associated with a store receiving multiple receipts for past purchase transactions from a customer. The server may identify products on the receipts and analyze the products and receipt dates to determine a frequency with which the customer purchases a particular product. The server may also determine a date when the customer last purchased the particular product and transmit a purchase suggestion for the product to the customer at a time correlated with the customer needing to purchase the particular product based on a date when the customer last purchased the particular product and the frequency with which the customer purchases the particular product.
