    Abstract: A drive arrangement for driving a rotary component of a fuel pump comprises a resilient member associated with either a drive shaft or the rotary component and engageable with a surface associated with the other of the drive shaft and rotary component. In use, where a braking force greater than a predetermined level is applied to the rotary component, the member rides out of engagement with the surface permitting relative rotary motion of the drive shaft and rotary component.
