  • Publication number: 20240122485
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments describe techniques for physiological analysis. The physiological analysis is based on the use of a wearable sensor array. A plurality of sensors and conductors is coupled to a compression garment, where the compression garment has stretchable portions that stretch, e.g., in a single dimension. The garment can include a shirt, a sports bra, or a vest. Associated on-board electronics are mounted to at least one of the compression garment and the hub and electrically connected to the hub and generate a physiological profile, based on at least one output from each of the sensors. At least one aspect of the physiological profile is communicated to a processor configured to analyze the at least one aspect and generate an assessment based on the analysis.

  • Patent number: 7199242
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the production of a compound of formula (I): wherein P1 and P2, which may be the same or different, are amino protecting groups, which comprises protection of a compound of formula (II) in solution phase continuous operation mode. This confers advantages over batch mode operation. The process is usually conducted in reaction equipment adapted for use in continuous processing mode, for example comprising one or more static mixers or a plug flow reactor. Preferably, the plug flow reactor comprises a jacketed tubular reactor fitted inside with internal mixing elements which continually split and remix the reaction streams promoting mass and heat transfer, whereby a uniform plug flow profile with turbulent fluid flow is achieved. The invention also provides a process for production of the antibacterial compound gemifloxacin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and/or hydrate thereof, comprising converting a compound of formula (I).

  • Publication number: 20030053900
Abstract: A cargo carrying trailer includes a mobile body having a floor and upright wall structure mounted upon the floor such that the floor and wall structure together define at least one load compartment for hauling cargo therein. The floor has an opening extending from adjacent to a peripheral portion of the floor to an inwardly spaced location. The trailer also includes a ramp disposed in the floor opening and an arrangement for converting the ramp relative to the floor between vertically displaced raised and lowered positions to permit loading cargo over the ramp to the compartment from locations at different elevations. In the raised position the ramp extends substantially coplanar with the floor and thus at an elevated location, whereas in the lowered position the ramp has one end disposed adjacent to the floor and an opposite end disposed below the one end of the ramp and thus below the elevated location.

  • Publication number: 20030025586
Abstract: An exhaust control device for use with a circuit interrupter includes a casing having a first expansion chamber and a second expansion chamber that are operationally disposed upstream of a heat sink and a damper, with the second expansion chamber being in fluid communication with the first expansion chamber and being in register with an inlet of the casing. The first expansion chamber extends between the inlet and the heat sink. The heat sink is a porous member that is annular in cross-section and includes a central cavity formed therein, the second expansion chamber being disposed in the central cavity. The first and second expansion chambers are configured to separate a blast of gases from the circuit interrupter into first and second pressure waves that sequentially travel through the heat sink and the damper, which reduces the peak intensity of the blast, extends its duration, and reduces its ionization level.
