    Abstract: The invention relates to a hypodermic injection system having a direct-drive motor for moving a ram towards an injectate chamber for discharging injectate therein through a discharge orifice. The system can have an injection head attached to a housing having an injectate chamber for holding injectate to be injected, a remote discharge device with a control apparatus or the structure for holding a cartridge containing injectate. The injectate supply could be a bottle, a remote reservoir or a cartridge. An injection head can have a nose actuator for enabling an injection only if the nose actuator has engaged the body to be injected. A clamping device clamps the body to be injected. Control is effected through a microprocessor to which the electrically-operated parts of the invention are attached. Control and output signals are readable through an electronic display.

Also disclosed are a filling station for filling ampules through their injection orifices, and an arming device for setting the injection spring. Ampules are disclosed having a piston which is drivable towards an orifice to discharge injectate through the orifice. Ampules are also disclosed having enlarged proximal portions for easy grasping by the grasping mechanism of the injector.

    Abstract: An adjustable arrow rest for an archery bow in association with an adjustable arrow-cushion plunger. The arrow rest is adjustable in both horizontal and vertical planes, while the cushion plunger is horizontally adjustable. The arrow rest includes a pivotal support arm having a free end at right angles to a fixed end, the fixed end being laterally adjustable relative to the bracket mounting it to the cushion plunger. Lateral adjustment of the arm is accomplished by means of a spacer disc attached to the arm which can be moved by an adjustment nut in the spacer disc engaged on a threaded stud anchored to the bracket. Vertical movement is controlled by a setscrew which adjusts the support arm's pivot arc. The cushion plunger comprises a plunger rod slidably secured by a threaded fastener in a sleeve which anchors the bracket to the bow.

    Abstract: An arrow rest for an archery bow is provided with two arrow support arms, each of which has a free end pivotal in an arc about a fixed end fastened to supporting structure mountable on a bow. Each of the arms is adjustably biased by an enclosed spring fastened on the structure adjacent to the arm, and is provided with an arc-limiting collar which limits the travel of the arm. One of the arms is adapted to pivot in a horizontal plane, the other in a vertical plane, such biased pivoting dampening temporary distortions imposed on the arrows as a result of bowstring forces generated during the process of the arrows' launch.

    Abstract: An archery bow arrow rest having a pivotal support arm biased to support an arrow on its free end. At right angles to its free end, the support arm has a fixed end positioned in, and attached to a bushing. The bushing passes through and is rotatable in a mounting bracket connecting the arrow rest to the bow. The bushing is also encircled by an arm-biasing coil spring, one end of which is anchored to the bracket, and the other end to a torque-controlling knob adjustably attachable to the bushing. The knob encircles the spring, thereby enclosing and protecting it from dirt. In a preferred embodiment, the free end of the support arm has a circular member attached to it on which the arrows are placed, and which provides quiet, low-friction launches of arrows. Through its gradual rotation, the member distributes arrow-induced wear on the member evenly over its surface.
