  • Patent number: 11957065
Abstract: Various techniques and apparatus permit fabrication of superconductive circuits. A superconducting integrated circuit comprising a superconducting stud via, a kinetic inductor, and a capacitor may be formed. Forming a superconducting stud via in a superconducting integrated circuit may include masking with a hard mask and masking with a soft mask. Forming a superconducting stud via in a superconducting integrated circuit may include depositing a dielectric etch stop layer. Interlayer misalignment in the fabrication of a superconducting integrated circuit may be measured by an electrical vernier. Interlayer misalignment in the fabrication of a superconducting integrated circuit may be measured by a chain of electrical verniers and a Wheatstone bridge. A superconducting integrated circuit with three or more metal layers may include an enclosed, matched, on-chip transmission line. A metal wiring layer in a superconducting integrated circuit may be encapsulated.

  • Patent number: 11925350
Abstract: A method of operating a surgical stapling device comprising a lockout for preventing the surgical stapling device from operating. The method comprises contacting a first authentication key protruding from a surgical staple cartridge in actuation contact with the lockout in the surgical stapling device to move the lockout into an intermediate position, contacting a second authentication key protruding from the surgical stapling cartridge distal to the first authentication key into other actuation contact with the lockout in the surgical stapling device to move the lockout from the intermediate position into an unlocked position, and operating the surgical stapling device.

  • Patent number: 10544789
Abstract: A fan assembly includes an axis of rotation and a fan that includes an inlet ring and a rear plate that together define an inner fan chamber, wherein the fan is a backward curved plug fan. The fan assembly also includes an axial flux motor coupled to the rear plate such that the motor is positioned entirely outside the fan chamber to facilitate preventing interference between the motor and an airflow within the fan chamber.

  • Patent number: 6586932
Abstract: An antenna design for a downhole nuclear magnetic resonance logging tool is enhanced to shape the resultant RF field generated by the antenna. The enhancement is accomplished by adding additional turns to a portion of the antenna, either circumscribing a ferrite material or located on the surface of an at least partially non-conductive material. The additional turns or half turns in combination with the RF field from parallel antenna portions result in a RF field contribution that is proportionally higher than the RF field contribution from the coil portions which are not enhanced. Further, the total RF field can be shaped over a earth sample region depending on placement of the enhancing turns. In this way, for example, the total RF field can be generated to achieve an orthogonal alignment with a static magnetic field over a larger region of the sample.

  • Patent number: 6489763
Abstract: A magnet assembly for nuclear magnetic well logging apparatus includes two diametrically opposed magnets which produce a static and substantially homogeneous magnetic field. Each magnet has a magnet axis and is partitioned into a first and a second magnet segment by a plane substantially parallel to the magnet axis.
