  • Patent number: 11788289
Abstract: A reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, multiple first working members, and multiple second working members. Each working member is independently connected to at least one of the one or more bars and extends away from the one or more bars. The first working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars and are connected along a first continuous portion of the one or more bars. The second working members are oriented diagonally with respect to the longitudinal axis and are connected along a second continuous portion of the one or more bars. The first working members extend from the one or more bars away from the second working members. The second working members extend from the one or more bars away from the first working members.

  • Publication number: 20200240145
Abstract: In one aspect, a reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars having a first end a second end opposite the first end. The reinforcing assembly also includes multiple downwardly-extending working members each independently connected at a top of the working member to at least one of the one or more bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars.

  • Patent number: 10633860
Abstract: In one aspect, a reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a midpoint between the first and second ends. The reinforcing assembly also includes multiple downwardly-extending working members each independently connected to at least one of the one or more bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars. The working members connected to the one or more bars between the first end and the midpoint are angled in a different direction than the working members connected to the one or more bars between the second end and the midpoint.

  • Patent number: 10119276
Abstract: In one aspect, a reinforcing assembly includes multiple longitudinally-extending support bars that are connected together and multiple working members each independently connected to one or more of the support bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the support bars. Each working member includes a downwardly-extending side and a hooked or bent portion at an end of the downwardly-extending side. In another aspect, a reinforcing assembly includes one or more longitudinally-extending bars each configured to provide structural reinforcement within a structure. The reinforcing assembly also includes multiple working members each independently connected to at least one of the one or more bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the one or more bars. Each working member includes a downwardly-extending side and a hooked or bent portion at an end of the downwardly-extending side.

  • Publication number: 20140059967
Abstract: A reinforcing assembly includes multiple spaced-apart, longitudinally-extending support bars. The reinforcing assembly also includes multiple working members each independently connected to the support bars. The working members are oriented diagonally with respect to a longitudinal axis extending along the support bars. Each working member includes (i) upwardly-extending sides defining a plane and (ii) an end portion spaced apart from the support bars. At least part of the end portion is non-planar with the upwardly-extending sides. For example, the end portion of each working member could extend away from the support bars and be substantially perpendicular to the support bars.

  • Patent number: 8220219
Abstract: A reinforcing assembly to address this problem comprises a plurality of diagonal working members (preferably formed of #3 rebar) each of which is “ribbed” to provide increased surface area for bonding to the concrete, and each of which is attached to a horizontal runner independently such that the diagonal working members are variably spaced along the assembly. Relative to the horizontal runner, each diagonal member is “bent” at a given angle, preferably in the range of 45° plus or minus 25°. The reinforcing assembly is designed for use to provide punching shear reinforcement in a reinforced concrete structure such as, without limitation, a slab (in which the assembly is supported) located adjacent a structural column. The top of each diagonal member in the reinforcing assembly preferably comprises a double hook that is configured to fit within reinforcing bars that run along the top of the slab.
