  • Patent number: 7669432
Abstract: A method includes cycling an electronic evaporator pressure regulator valve fluidly coupled to a refrigeration circuit to regulate flow through the electronic evaporator pressure regulator valve and sensing a current drawn by the electronic evaporator pressure regulator valve during cycling of the electronic evaporator pressure regulator valve. The method further includes determining a valve condition of the electronic evaporator pressure regulator valve based on the sensing.

  • Patent number: 7340907
Abstract: An anti-condensation control apparatus for a refrigeration device generally includes a sensor module and a control module. The control module receives an input from the sensor module and compares the input to a set point. The control module generates an output indicative of a difference between the input and the set point and updates the output based on the input from the sensor module. A heater modulator controls a heater based on the output from the control module to maintain a temperature of the outer surface of a refrigerated device such that relative humidity adjacent the sensor module is substantially between 90-95 percent relative humidity, or slightly above dew point.

  • Patent number: 7287396
Abstract: An apparatus for refrigeration system control includes a plurality of circuits, each circuit having at least one refrigeration case and an electronic evaporator pressure regulator in communication with each circuit. Each electronic evaporator pressure regulator controls a temperature of one of the circuits. A sensor in communication with each circuit measures a parameter from the circuit. A controller associated with each electronic evaporator pressure regulator controls the respective electronic evaporator pressure regulator based upon measured parameters from each of the circuits.

  • Patent number: 6745584
Abstract: A cooling system controller controls the capacity of a variable capacity compressor based upon the temperature of a housing being cooled, the suction pressure of the compressor or both of these criteria. The cooling system controller is capable of controlling either single-evaporator or multiple-evaporator refrigeration systems. The multiple-evaporator systems can have evaporators of similar temperatures or of mixed temperatures. The controller also allows the use of one or more condenser fans that are operated in a lead/lag fashion to control the cooling capability of the system.
