  • Patent number: 6948433
Abstract: A non-metallic conveyor component is provided. The conveyor component includes an inner race and an outer race. The inner race includes an outer bearing surface. The outer race includes and inner bearing surface. One of the outer and inner bearing surfaces includes a helical groove. The inner and outer races are made from a polymeric matrix material having an alloying additive.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 24, 2003
Date of Patent: September 27, 2005
Inventors: Frank F. Hoffmann, Arnold R. Hoffmann, William E. F. Thurber, Jr., Richard Somerville
  • Publication number: 20050023112
Abstract: A towline conveyor including both straight and curved sections employs self-lubricating non-metallic wearing blocks against which a metallic chain moves. The wearing blocks are made of a polymer matrix having additives to increase resistance to wear and abrasion, providing extended life relative to metal rollers. Preferably, the wearing blocks are molded replaceable inserts for carrier blocks mounted on the track of the conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20020179416
Abstract: An enclosed track conveyor chain assembly and method of construction includes a plurality of guide link assemblies and load link assemblies connected to form a conveyor chain assembly. Each load link assembly includes a pair of side walls and forward and rearward ends defining an opening. A pair of wheel assemblies supports the load link on the horizontal surfaces of the track. A guide link member is inserted into the opening of adjacent load links. Distal ends of the guide links are connected via a fastener to thereby connect adjacent load link members to form the enclosed track chain. Each guide link member includes a plurality of flat areas on the distal ends of the arms to provide a connecting surface. A fastener is inserted through openings in the distal ends to secure the guide link members together. Preferably, the connection between guide link members is pivotal to allow pivoting action of the guide link.

  • Patent number: 4863639
Abstract: The present invention refers to the compounds (.mu.-hydrazine-N.sup.1 :N.sup.2)-bis[bis(triphenylphosphine)-chlororhodium (I)] and di(.mu.-hydrazine-N.sup.1 :N.sup.2)-bis[bis(triphenylphosphine)rhodium (I)] dichloride, which are homogenous hydrogenation catalysts and their application in the hydrogenation of the exocyclic methylene group of acid addition salts of 6-demethyl-6-deoxy-6-methylene-5-hydroxytetracycline (methacycline) to prepare .alpha.-6-deoxy-5-hydroxytetracycline (doxycycline).
