  • Patent number: 4413374
Abstract: A two-piece knob assembly is provided for positively holding a fastener in a non-rotatable condition. The assembly includes a knob that has an aperture with varying diameters and configurations. A fastener is received in the aperture and is non-rotatably held therein due to the mating irregular configurations of the knob and the fastener. A cap is also received in the aperture to prevent the fastener from becoming dislodged in a vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 4384746
Abstract: An assembly for slidably and releasably mounting a drawer in a support frame is provided wherein the drawer has at least one guide member and is slidably engaged with at least one track member carrier by the support frame. The drawer guide member includes an outwardly projecting and forwardly facing stop means and the track member is provided with a resilient clip mounted on the forward end of the track member movable between a first position for engaging the drawer stop means whereby unintentional withdrawal of the drawer from the support frame is prevented and a second position whereby the clip is out of alignment with the stop means to permit removal of the drawer.

  • Patent number: 4381103
Abstract: Two rails, each having a straight edge, two ends and a cross section defining a channel, are placed in an end-to-end butting relationship to form a continuous straight edge. A joiner plate has an arcuate cross section and has lateral margins for being received in the rail channels. The plate is placed in the rail channels and is fastened to the rails so as to deflect the plate downwardly and force the lateral margins of the plate tight against the rails to align the rails and hold the rails together.

  • Patent number: 4362196
Abstract: A table for supporting an electric power tool is provided with a safety shut-off device. A bar is pivotably mounted on the side of the table and a shut-off switch is mounted to the table behind the bar. The bar is biased away from the shut-off switch by a spring. If an operator falls or leans against the bar, the switch is actuated to shut off the power to the tool.

  • Patent number: 4330113
Abstract: A vise for use with sawhorses and workbenches in which swivel jaws having specially configured feet are detachably connected to an apertured channel. Advantageously, the jaws can be connected to either side or the top of the channel to position the workpiece either vertically or horizontally. In the preferred form, a movable box-like drive assembly carrying one of the jaws is driven by a threaded shaft upon rotation of a hand crank to move the driven jaw into clamping engagement with the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4328728
Abstract: A saw support member for supporting a portable power circular saw is pivotably mounted to a platform defining a workpiece support surface. A pair of fences are pivotally connected on a fixed vertical axis to the platform. First and second arcuate guide slots are defined within the platform in arcs concentric about the fence pivot vertical axis. Each fence has spaced apart first and second guide members projecting therefrom into the first and second associated guide slots, respectively, for guiding the movement of the associated fence at spaced locations along its length. Means are provided for releasably restraining each fence from pivotable movement relative to the platform.

  • Patent number: 4197775
Abstract: An improved, safer, more efficient saw table construction is provided in the present invention by channelled guide tracks which slidably support a tool and plate assembly in any one of two positions at right angles to each other. The tool can be readily moved from one position to another, without remounting the tool on the tool plate, by controllable withdrawal of the tool plate from the ends of the guide tracks, rotation of the entire tool and plate assembly, and reinsertion of the plate into the channelled tracks provided.
