  • Patent number: 5669821
Abstract: An easily modifiable ride is provided with a track and a car for carrying at least one passenger along the track. The track creates changes of movement of the car to thereby produce G-forces to the passenger. A plurality of detectors are provided for detecting movements of the car. At least one display device is used for producing a series of images to create a displayed scenario of an amusement ride. There is also provided signal generators responsive to the detectors for synchronizing between the images and the movements of the car.

  • Patent number: 4668841
Abstract: A solar generator in the shape of a dome segment is disclosed. The generator utilizes an inner dome-shaped support structure nested inside a slightly larger output dome-shaped space frame. The space frame is adapted for rotation at a fixed angular velocity about the inner support dome. The space frame carries a plurality of prewired identical solar cell panels mounted on flat support planes, which are positioned at three preferred angles relative to the horizon. These angles are 60.degree., 45.degree., and 30.degree. respectively from the lowest to the highest solar cell mounting locations on the space frame. The support frame is protected from "shadowing" in both vertical and horizontal planes.

  • Patent number: 4594470
Abstract: A solar generator support structure mounting standard photovoltaic panels thereon is disclosed. The solar panels are housed in flat planes (bays and courses) which include a plurality of parallel, symmetrically faceted and stepped areas that are a maximum at the base and over the center of the support structure and which planes define a dome-shaped segment called a hemidome. The planes face upwardly and are stepped, ramped (or a combination thereof) with respect to each other. Single or double axis tracking is provided so that the sun's movement is followed.

  • Patent number: 4427045
Abstract: An improved surge dampening baffle adapted to be secured inside of collapsible liquid storage tank (pillow tank) is disclosed. The improved baffle comprises several plies of a suitable fabric. The improved baffle is flexible and collapsible; yet readily repairs and retains its shape after a distortion so as to substantially always provide alternatively disposed hollow truncated and tapered convolutions which are instantaneously available to dampen a developing surge of a liquid stored in the pillow tank.

  • Patent number: 4298911
Abstract: A lighting device which is well adapted for inviting public attention by a conspicuous and decorative display of bright lights, is disclosed. The device includes at least one light source which is moveably mounted to a base. A motor and drive mechanism including a bent shaft is operatively associated with the light sources to orbit each light source around a respective center point. In many embodiments of the invention the drive mechanism is also adapted for continuously varying the angular positioning of each light source and of the emitted rays of light relative to the vertical direction.
