  • Patent number: 7675463
Abstract: The invention is related to a monopole antenna provided for short-range applications, having a conductive pattern arranged on a dielectric substrate. The conductive pattern has a first straight radiating element connected to an antenna feeding point, a second straight radiating element arranged essentially parallel to the first radiating element and interconnected to it, and further a third straight radiating element arranged between the first and second radiating elements and essentially parallel to both of the first and second radiating elements and interconnected to the second radiating element. The electric and magnetic fields of the first and the third radiating elements are thereby interacting constructively. The invention is also related to an integrated circuit having such monopole antenna, and a method for manufacturing such monopole antenna.

  • Publication number: 20090118858
Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling a complex product in a parallel process system wherein a collection of components are provided for assembling the complex product. The present invention involves transferring the collection of the components to one of a plurality of similar computerized assembly cells through the use of a transport system. The collection of components is automatically assembled into the complex product through the use of the computerized assembly cells. The complex product is then transferred from one of the assembly cells to a computerized test cell, where the complex product is tested to ensure for the proper dimensioning and functioning of the complex product. The complex product is then transferred from the test cell via the transport system to either a part reject area or conveyor, if the complex product is defective, or to an automatic dunnage load or part return system, if the complex product is not defective.

  • Patent number: 7515006
Abstract: An LC resonator (117; 122) for a voltage controlled oscillator (13; 116) has an inductive transmission line 31; 51), and input and output ports (33a-b; 53a-b) connected to the transmission line, wherein the transmission line is grounded (G) in at least one end portion thereof. The inductive transmission line has a plurality of connection ports (P) that are capable of being connected to each other or to ground in order to tune the resonance frequency of the LC resonator from one frequency band to another. Further, a trimming capacitor (C) may be interconnected in the transmission line in order to further tune the resonance frequency of the LC resonator. Preferably, the LC resonator is formed as a microstrip or strip line structure in essentially a C or S shape on a laminate substrate (101-103).

  • Publication number: 20080242764
Abstract: An enhanced anaerobic adhesive composition containing microencapsulated metal ions is disclosed. Microencapsulated metal ions, such as iron oxide, copper naphthenate, cobalt naphthenate, ferrocene, and ferrocene derivatives, act as bonding sites in the composition, such that the composition achieves more complete polymerization in a shorter curing time. The curing properties and the cure quality are significantly improved by the inclusion of microencapsulated metal ions. The composition can be used to bond metal and plastic substrates.

  • Publication number: 20080195265
Abstract: A train integrity network system comprises bogie units which monitor critical parameters relating to the condition of bogie components and the rail track they are travelling on, an onboard server which controls the bogie units and a wireless network which enables communication between the server and the bogie units. Each bogie unit is powered by an electrical generator which utilises the rotation of the bogie wheels and has a processor which compares the critical parameters against defined standards in order to issue alerts to the train driver. The wireless network utilises master/slave base band role switching, has store-and-forward nodes which convey quasi real time data to the server and utilises frequency hopping modes.

  • Publication number: 20080146300
Abstract: A root-crop harvester is configured to temporarily store tubers by recirculating tubers on the conveyor system of the harvester. The conveyor system has selectable first and second operating configurations. In the first operating configuration the conveyor system transports tubers from the digger bed to an outlet where tubers are unloaded from the harvester (e.g., onto a truck). In the second operating configuration the conveyor system transports tubers along the conveyor system for a period of time and then diverts tubers to an earlier position within the conveyor system, thereby recirculating tubers on the harvester. After a period of time, the harvester operator selects the first operating configuration and the recirculating tubers along with newly dug tubers are unloaded from the harvester.
