Abstract: A mobile wood chipper that is mounted to a motor vehicle. The wood chipper has an input hopper that during operation is desirably located at a convenient height for a user. In the case of mounting in a station wagon or van, a slidable structure may be used to allow the wood chipper to be slid into an operational position with the wood chipper at least largely outside the vehicle, and a stowed position with the wood chipper at least largely inside the vehicle. In the case of mounting in a truck, a lift mechanism may be used to allow the wood chipper to be lowered into an operational position with the wood chipper at a convenient height for a user, and lifted up into a stowed position within the truck bed. A power generator is also included to supply power to the wood chipper.
