  • Publication number: 20200026795
Abstract: Concepts for clustering geographic features for graphical representation of the geographic features on a geographical map are presented. One example comprises identifying a geographic feature having: a first attribute value; and a geographic location. For each of a plurality of different map zoom levels, a cluster value is generated based on the map zoom level and at least one of the first attribute value and geographic location of the geographic feature. The cluster value for a map zoom level defines a cluster that the geographic feature belongs to for the map zoom level. Cluster values generated for geographic features according to such an example may then be used to group the geographic features for a particular map zoom level.

  • Patent number: 10066949
Abstract: A method of geospatial guidance for sight impaired users includes receiving, by a computer system, a user selection of a geospatial area. The computer system further receives a user selection of a point of interest criteria. The method includes finding, by the computer system, in a database that includes geospatial points of interest, those geospatial points of interest that match the user selected criteria and that are in the user selected geospatial area. The computer system determines a reference location in the user selected geospatial area and distance and direction from each of the found points of interest to the reference location. The computer system presents sets of information, to the user, wherein each set includes a description of one of the found points of interest together with distance and direction between the reference location and the one of the found points of interest.

  • Patent number: 7566151
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with providing a support for temporary lighting for use with scaffolding systems. The support assembly comprises of two main components and the required fastening systems to affix lighting fixtures and mast light fixtures embodied in two configurations. The support consists of a thin walled pipe with a tube half clamp welded to one end and a thin walled tee welded to the opposite end. The clamp and tee are orientated to provide the support with a precise mounting position. A second thin walled pipe is positioned concentrically through the tee to create framework that has an angled appearance. The second pipe is maintained annular and concentric to the first pipe by means of two washer type collars welded above and below the tee that constrains both pipes to each other. A small space between the collar and tee provides the second pipe with unconstrained rotational movement. Lanyards incorporated in the support are fixed directly to the scaffold for job site safety concerns.

  • Publication number: 20070142289
Abstract: A method of inhibiting proliferation of cells associated with a tumor in a subject which comprises administering to the subject a tumor cell proliferation amount of IGF-BP3, thereby inhibiting proliferation of the cells. An improved surgical method which comprises surgically resecting a tumor from a subject and administering to the subject an amount of a protein effective to inhibit metastasis of any tumor cells released in the subject's blood circulation during the surgical resection of the tumor.

  • Publication number: 20060084603
Abstract: The subject invention provides a method of inhibiting the proliferation of cells associated with a tumor in a subject which comprises administering to the subject between about 10 ?g/kg and about 100 mg/kg of IGF-BP3, thereby inhibiting proliferation of the cells. The subject invention further provides a surgical method which comprises surgically resecting a tumor from a subject and administering to the subject between about 10 ?g/kg and about 100 mg/kg of IGF-BP3, so as to inhibit metastasis of any tumor cells released in the subject's blood circulation during resection of the tumor. The subject invention further provides a surgical method which comprises performing a surgical procedure on a subject and administering to the subject between about 10 ?g/kg and about 100 mg/kg of IGF-BP3, so as to inhibit proliferation of a tumor cell in the subject.
