Abstract: An elongated luminaire and a method of attaching a luminaire to a mounting surface. The luminaire comprises at least two fixation members (1,2). Each fixation member (1,2) has a contact surface for abutting against said mounting surface, which contact surface has an opening (8) for receiving a fastener for attaching the fixation member (1,2) firmly to said mounting surface. The contact surfaces are provided with a layer of adhesive material (15) for temporarily attaching the luminaire (4) to the mounting surface.
