Patent number: 8839548Abstract: An ice fishing device enclosed in a housing and configured for indicating that a fish has taken the bait is disclosed. The device provides a curved rod having a portion external to the housing and a portion internal to the housing. The portion inside the housing includes a curved end adapted for resting on a handle tip of the fishing spool. The curved end will release from the handle tip when a fish tugs on the fishing line, thereby moving the spool and the handle tip away from the curved end. Once the curved end is released, the curved rod containing a flag repositions to an upright position, alerting the fisherman that the fish is ready to be pulled out of the ice.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2012Date of Patent: September 23, 2014Inventors: Terry John Manlick, Rick Francis Manlick

Publication number: 20140115018Abstract: Systems and methods for document tracking and management are provided. A method may provide for providing an identification data to a remote user. The identification data may be associated with a first batch of documents. The method may comprise receiving the first batch of documents with the associated identification data from the remote user and storing an electronic file of each document in the first batch of documents in a document database, the electronic files associated with the identification data. The method may further provide for storing a tracking data indicative of the first batch of documents being forwarded to, and received by, an end user. The tracking data may be stored in the document database and associated with the identification data. Access to the electronic files of the first batch of documents to the remote user or the end user may also be provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2012Publication date: April 24, 2014Inventors: Robert J. Rieger, Rick Francis

Patent number: 8501504Abstract: According to one exemplary embodiment, a non-destructive method for determining a breakdown voltage of a dielectric layer on a semiconductor substrate includes injecting a test current in increasing ramp steps into the dielectric layer. The method further includes measuring a test voltage across the dielectric layer at each increasing ramp step of the test current. The method further includes detecting a dropped test voltage in response to the increasing ramp steps of the test current. The ramp steps of the test current can be substantially logarithmically increased. The breakdown voltage of the dielectric layer can be designated to be substantially equal to the dropped test voltage.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2008Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Assignee: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.Inventors: Kok Yong Yiang, Rick Francis, Amit P. Publication number: 20120210626Abstract: An ice fishing device enclosed in a housing and configured for indicating that a fish has taken the bait is disclosed. The device provides a curved rod having a portion external to the housing and a portion internal to the housing comprising a hooked end adapted for clasping onto a handle tip of the fishing spool. The hooked end will release from the handle tip when a fish tugs on the fishing line thereby moving the spool and the handle tip away from the hooked end. Once the hook is released, the curved rod containing a flag repositions to an upright position alerting the fisherman that the fish is ready to be pulled out of the ice.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2012Publication date: August 23, 2012Inventors: Terry John Manlick, Rick Francis Manlick

Patent number: 8022716Abstract: A time-to-breakdown for a dielectric layer in a semiconductor device is determined based upon a sudden change in capacitance. An alternating voltage, greater in magnitude than an operating voltage of the device, is applied to the semiconductor device, capacitance is measured across the dielectric layer during the application of the voltage until a sudden change in capacitance occurs, thereby indicating a breakdown in the dielectric layer, and the breakdown time is scaled to the operating voltage.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2009Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: GLOBALFOUNDRIES IncInventors: Kok Yong Yiang, Rick Francis, Amit P. Patent number: 7753619Abstract: In combination with a placers/spreader having a frame including at least two side bolsters standing parallel to the subgrade path and at least two cross beams spanning the subgrade path forming a conveyor supporting structure. A rail system is attached spanning the frame, and has a roll in/roll out conveyor with a cantilevered support at one of the side bolsters and a support for attachment to and support from the rail system. The conveyor moves in traversing motion across the frame to distribute concrete. The improvement comprises a strike off beam and spreader plow assembly for trailing attachment to the frame of a placer/spreader. We thus disclose a strike off beam with spreader plow assembly which can be removably attached to either side of a placer/spreader to avoid the necessity of relocating the receiving conveyor when the location of the access road changes from one side to the other or direction of spreading changes.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2008Date of Patent: July 13, 2010Assignee: Gutert & Zimmerman Const. Div., Inc.Inventors: Ronald M. Guntert, Jr., Rick Francis

Patent number: 7316522Abstract: A placer/spreader for distributing already mixed concrete from an access road to a subgrade path to be paved includes a frame having at least two side bolsters standing parallel to the subgrade path and at least two cross beams spanning the subgrade path for forming a conveyor supporting structure. A roll in/roll out conveyor has a receiving end for receiving already mixed concrete from an access road and a discharge end for discharging already mixed concrete to the subgrade path, this conveyor being hinged to enable conformation to differing access road elevations. One of the two side bolsters defines forward and rear transport attachment points with a spatial interval between the transport attachment points. This spatial interval permits the roll in/roll out conveyor to be supported between forward and rear attachment points.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2005Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: Guntert & Zimmerman Const. Patent number: 5926393Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for designing a profile extrusion die for shaping a polymer resin material into a profile having a plurality of sections. In the present invention, a plurality of operating conditions for shaping the resin material into the profile are determined. The dimensions of each of the plurality of sections of the profile are then specified. The profile dimensions include width and thickness. Extrusion information for the polymer resin including die swell/drawdown and flow balance is obtained. Die dimensions for shaping the profile in accordance with the operating conditions, the profile dimensions, and the extrusion information are then determined.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 1996Date of Patent: July 20, 1999Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: Hsin-Pang Wang, Erich Otto Teutsch, Martin Kin-Fei Lee, Erin Marie Perry, Rick Francis Fiumara, Srikanth Nanguneri
