  • Patent number: 6311868
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for quickly heating a predetermined volume of viscous fluid and dispensing it efficiently at one or more selected temperatures. The viscous fluid includes substantial non-volatile constituent parts. In one embodiment, the predetermined volume of viscous fluid is partially housed in a predelivery chamber separate from the main fluid reservoir. A heater assembly heats the viscous fluid in the predelivery chamber in a short time period and in small volumes to prevent overheating and adversely effecting the composition of the viscous fluid. To avoid continually heating the viscous liquid, a timer circuit is used in one embodiment.

  • Patent number: 4763928
Abstract: A method and apparatus for theft identification of articles, such as, machines and equipment employs one or more miniature, coded portions or disks, each disk in the form of a thin film bearing preassigned data which is photo optically reduced on the film so as not to be readable with the naked eye, and at least partially severed from the film so as to facilitate application to an article. The disks may be placed on or buried in the articles at different locations known only to the owners as well as being placed at other random locations and are composed of a material not discernible by remote locating means thereby making it virtually impossible for unauthorized persons to locate and remove the disks from the equipment.

  • Patent number: 4713164
Abstract: In sensing diluent gases which contribute to malodors in the human breath, a detection cell is housed within the hand-held cartridge made up of inner and outer casings movable between and open and closed position. The detection cell has an electrolyte interposed between inner and outer electrodes within the inner casing and when the cartridge is advanced to its open position a sample gas stream created by blowing into the interior of the cartridge is passed into contact with the inner electrode while a reference gas stream, such as, air contacts the outer electrode whereby an electric potential is developed in response to the presence of the diluent gases indicating the presence of malodors in the human breath.

  • Patent number: 4325996
Abstract: An artificial bird is comprised of a molded body consisting of the trunk, legs, neck and head; feet are secured to the legs, and the body is covered with feathers by applying a series of patterns to the body to which are attached rows of feathers to cover the legs and stomach, breast, back, neck and head. A pattern of wing feathers is affixed to a thin but fairly rigid base of air foil configuration, the wing feathers being secured by connecting rods to the sides of the body. A pattern of tail feathers arranged in rows is preassembled and formed to lend the desired configuration to the tail.
