  • Patent number: 11131271
Abstract: A fuel supply system for small two-stroke internal combustion engines for e.g. chain saws, line trimmers and similar hand-held power-tools including a diaphragm carburetor (20) equipped with a purging system (80a, 81a) or priming system (80b, 81b) for facilitating starting of the engine (1). Downstream of the diaphragm (30), the carburetor has a fuel valve (60) with a fuel cavity (73), which when the valve is not closed being connected via a fuel conduit (37) to a fuel nozzle (35, 36) in a main air passage (21) in the carburetor. The purging system or priming system including a fuel line (80a; 80b), which is provided with a manually operated pump (81a; 81b) and is connected between a fuel tank (26) and either the fuel cavity (73) or the fuel conduit (37).

  • Patent number: 9156183
Abstract: A chainsaw may include a guide bar, a cutting chain and a driving unit arranged to drive the cutting chain around the guide bar. The guide bar defines a first longitudinal axis extending along a center of the guide bar. The chainsaw further comprising a handle section for carrying and operating the chainsaw, wherein the handle section includes a control portion disposed on the upper side of the chainsaw. The control portion in turn includes a throttle lever for controlling the speed of the driving unit and the control portion has a left and a right side. The control portion defines a second longitudinal axis substantially extending along an upper side of at least a part of the control portion. An angle, A, between the first and the second longitudinal axes is between 14° and 45°.

  • Publication number: 20140298664
Abstract: A portable handheld power tool includes a receiving device arranged on a body portion of the tool. The receiving device is arranged for connecting/disconnecting to the portable handheld power tool either a flexible elongated member or a fastening device secured to the elongated member or to an operator of the portable handheld power tool. The receiving device includes a receiving portion and an attachment portion. The receiving portion substantially extends in a plane to receive and lead the flexible elongated member therethrough. The attachment portion is arranged to connect the receiving device to a body portion of the tool via a pivot assembly that defines a first pivot axis so as to permit the receiving portion to move between a resting position wherein the plane of the receiving portion is substantially parallel to the first pivot axis, and an operating position.
