  • Patent number: 6336251
Abstract: An elastic hinge for eyeglasses, comprising a temple which has an end provided with a hollow body which accommodates, with a coupling which allows only rotation, part of a tubular element in which one end of a shaped element is guided with a coupling which allows only sliding. The shaped element has, at the other end, an eyelet which is inserted between two other eyelets which are fixed to the front of the eyeglasses so as to form the articulation of the hinge. A single spring is fixed with a first end to a part of the shaped element located inside the tubular element, with a second end to the hollow body and with a portion, which is intermediate between the first and second ends, to the tubular element.

  • Patent number: 4750828
Abstract: The stem device comprises a hollow body having an end and which can be removably associated with a tubular element. Between the body and element, members are provided to afford axial rotation with an elastic return bias acting therebetween. The stem device includes a peg located in an oblique slot for restricting the translatory and rotary movements of the end with respect to the element. The stem device is also effective to be snap-closed and elastically opened to an extra-open angle with respect to the front of a pair of eyeglasses.

  • Patent number: 4618226
Abstract: This eyeglasses temple comprises a leg portion and spring-loaded devices for enabling the leg opening to occur elastically beyond an overcenter position, and enabling the leg to be closed with a snap action. The spring-loaded devices comprises a leaf spring, pivotally inserted into a pocket formed in the eyeglasses leg and acting with its free end onto a head portion made rigid with the eyeglasses frame, and shaped to provide two stable opened-closed positions for the leg, resilient extra opened positions and an opening travel limit stop therefor.
