  • Publication number: 20140232020
Abstract: An improved venturi apparatus for facilitating the mixture of fluid substances. The apparatus comprises a first funnel section operative to receive a fluid and channel the same through a first cylindrical section or passageway. The first cylindrical section is fluidly connected to an intermediate passageway having a diameter larger than the first cylindrical section. At least one sidearm passageway is fluidly connected to the intermediate passageway into which at least one second fluid is introduced. The sidearm passageway is preferably configured to fluidly interconnect with the intermediate passageway at approximately the medial portion of the intermediate passageway. Fluidly connected to the intermediate passageway is a second cylindrical section operative to direct the flow of the intermixed fluids to a second exit funnel section.

  • Patent number: 8733742
Abstract: A venturi apparatus comprises: a liquid-receiving section configured to be open to the atmosphere and to receive liquid through an opening at a first end, and having a second end through which the liquid can exit, the second end having a second cross-sectional area that is smaller than a first cross-sectional area of the first end; and a mixing section defining: an intermediate passageway configured to receive the liquid exiting from the liquid-receiving section, the intermediate passageway having a third cross-sectional area that is greater than the second cross-sectional area; and at least one side passageway extending from the intermediate passageway to a perimeter of the venturi apparatus to fluidly connect the intermediate passageway to the atmosphere to allow atmospheric gases to be drawn into the intermediate passageway to mix with the liquid when the liquid flows through the intermediate passageway.

  • Publication number: 20110154994
Abstract: A wine aerator system includes a wine aerator having a body defining a fluid flow path extending from a top opening of the body to a bottom opening of the body. The fluid flow path of the wine aerator is configured to introduce air into a flow of wine passing from the top opening to the bottom opening of the body. The aerator system also includes a tower configured to receive the wine aerator, the tower including a base configured to be disposed on a horizontal surface and to receive a wine glass. A stem extends upwardly from the base when the base is disposed on the horizontal surface. The stein includes an adapter configured to removably receive the wine aerator such that the wine aerator is positioned above the base such that the wine glass can be positioned on the base and under the wine aerator to receive wine exiting the bottom opening of the wine aerator.
