  • Patent number: 7678234
Abstract: A dewatering arrangement in the press section of a web-forming machine having a press suction roll (10) and a press fabric (13) arranged to run via the press suction roll (10). The dewatering arrangement has a saveall (15), which is installed in conjunction with the press suction roll (10), and drainage facilities (18) for removing the collected water from the saveall (15). The saveall (15) has a concave guide surface (19) which in the cross direction is located on a partial distance of the circumference of the press suction roll (10) and at a distance from the surface of the press suction roll (10) in order to accomplish a vacuum effect and to hence remove water from the press suction roll (10).

  • Patent number: 6443880
Abstract: The roll comprises a stationary support construction (11) and a roll mantle (12) revolving around the construction, which mantle is supported from its inner face (12′) on the support construction (11) by at least one hydraulically loaded loading member (13), by which the roll mantle (12) is loaded against a backup roll (20) which forms a nip (N) with the roll. The oil removing arrangement comprises an oil collecting equipment (90) fitted in the space between the outer face (11″) of the support construction (11) and the inner face (12′) of the roll mantle (12), in which oil collecting equipment there is an oil guide plate (91) which is supported at least on the support construction (11), which is arc-shaped in the direction of the circumference and which forms a first oil guide face. At the lateral edges of the oil guide plate (91), there are radial side walls (93,94) directed towards the support construction, and at the curved rear edge there is a curved rear wall (92).

Abstract: The roll comprises a stationary support construction (11) and a roll mantle (12) revolving around said construction, which mantle is supported from its inner face (12′) on the support construction (11) by means of at least one hydraulically loaded loading member (13), by whose means the roll mantle (12) is loaded against a backup roll (20) which forms a nip (N) with the roll. • Patent number: 5599263
Abstract: An oil feed system for a variable-crown roll which includes a stationary roll axle, a roll mantle arranged revolvingly on the roll axle and hydraulic loading elements acting upon an inner face of the roll mantle in a radial direction and supporting the roll mantle on the roll axle. The loading elements function to regulate the axial profile of the roll mantle. In the roll axle, an axial through hole is formed which communicates with cylinder bores in which the hydraulic loading elements are arranged through substantially radial bores or equivalent ducts. In the axial through hole, at least through one of the roll ends, oil feed pipes are installed and through which pipes, a pressure fluid is fed to the hydraulic loading elements. Into the axial through hole in the roll axle, at the location of the loading elements, an intermediate flange is installed, which operates as a distributor piece and is connected with the loading element.
