  • Patent number: 6274817
Abstract: An arrangement in a conductor track, the conductor track having a connection groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the track for connecting devices to the conductor track by way of an adapter, current conductors arranged in the connection groove in the longitudinal direction thereof for supplying power by way of the adapter to the devices connected to the conductor track, and at least one signal conductor arranged in the conductor track for supplying by way of the adapter a control signal, such as a bus control signal, to the device connected to the conductor track. To achieve a simple and esthetically advantageous solution, at least one signal conductor is arranged in the connection groove of the conductor track, and a partition wall of electrically conductive material is arranged between the signal conductor and the current conductor.

  • Patent number: 6113401
Abstract: An arrangement in connection with a current take-off device of a contact rail system, comprising an adapter portion arranged to be connected to be removable electrically and mechanically to a contact rail, and conductors arranged inside the adapter portion and connected by means of slit edge connectors to contacts providing an electric connection for the adapter portion and the contact rail, by means of which conductors the current is conveyed from the adapter portion to an electrical apparatus to be connected thereto. To ensure an electric contact, at least one wall portion is arranged to a cover portion of the adapter portion at each slit edge connector, which wall portion is arranged to press the conductor into a slit of the slit edge connector when the cover portion is put in place.

  • Patent number: 6042399
Abstract: A power take-off adapter for a track having a connection slot and current conductors includes locking and contact fingers (8, 9) for connecting the power take-off adapter arranged in the connection slot of the track mechanically to the track and electrically to the current conductors of the track, a switching device (10) that is switched to move the locking fingers to a connecting position in which they protrude from a switching member (5) and to a retracted disconnnecting position. To provide a simple construction, the locking and contact fingers are arranged on the same axle member. A rotary movement of the switching device is arranged to bring all the contact fingers in contact with the current conductors of the track. The power take-off adapter is provided with a selecting switch (11) by which it is electrically connected to the desired phase conductor or electrically disconnected from the phase conductor.

  • Patent number: 6033239
Abstract: An improved connector is disclosed for a track lighting system in which a light fixture is physically and electrically connected to a track. The track is elongated and defines a central longitudinal passageway. A voltage bus, a neutral bus, and a grounding element are disposed within the central longitudinal passageway. Means disposed above the central longitudinal passageway define a pair of opposing channels. The connector comprises a housing and a flange extending from the housing. The flange is received within an end of the central longitudinal passageway of the track by way of an interference fit, and the flange has electrical contacts for engaging the voltage bus, the neutral bus, and the grounding element disposed within the central longitudinal passageway. The connector further includes a tongue extending from the housing spaced apart from and generally parallel to the flange and having edge portions which engage the opposing channels of the track in an interference fit.

  • Patent number: 5921790
Abstract: An arrangement in connection with a current take-off device of a contact rail system, comprising an adapter portion arranged to be connected to be removable electrically and mechanically to a contact rail, and conductors arranged inside the adapter portion and connected by means of slit edge connectors to contacts providing an electric connection for the adapter portion and the contact rail, by means of which conductors the current is conveyed from the adapter portion to an electrical apparatus to be connected thereto. To ensure an electric contact, at least one wall portion is arranged inside the adapter portion, next to each slit edge connector, which wall portion is arranged to turn the conductor into an inclined position with respect to the plane of a slit of the slit edge connector when the conductor is being pressed into the slit edge connector.

  • Patent number: 5869786
Abstract: An arrangement in connection with a conductor track, the conductor track having a connection groove extending in the longitudinal direction of the track for connecting devices to the conductor track, and current conductors mounted in the connection groove in the longitudinal direction thereof for supplying power by an adapter to the devices connected to the conductor track. To provide a simple solution which expedites the installation, the arrangement has at least one signal conductor fixed to the outer surface of the conductor track for supplying a bus control signal to a device connected to the conductor track by an adapter.
