Abstract: A display device comprises first, second and third layers. The first layer is spaced apart from the second layer. The third layer is arranged between the first and second layers. The first layer comprises a display surface facing away from the second layer. The display surface is arranged to provide a display output. The second layer comprises a plurality of light-emitting elements. The third layer of the display device comprises a plurality of discrete guide channels. Each guide channel in the plurality of guide channels is arranged to guide light travelling from a respective light-emitting element in the plurality of light-emitting elements to the display surface. Different guide channels in the plurality of guide channels have different channel lengths.
